The Consumer Watchdog and auto safety advocacy groups are not supporting Tesla Motors for their autopilot cars with deceptive marketing. The consumer advocacy groups are sending letters to FTC (Federal Trade Commission) for review because of misleading advertising by Tesla Motors. The consumer groups are requesting federal officials to fully review the autopilot features in Tesla autonomous cars. Because two Americans died and one is injured because of the Tesla misleading advertisement about the autopilot features.

The latest BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency data showing assaults and felony arrests are increasing with robberies decreasing. The BART informational data shows 92 robberies this year were reported in comparison with 110 robberies last year. It also shows aggravated assaults increased from 34 to 43 along with felony arrests increased from 127 to 148 during this year. The BART Police Department recently hired more police officers for assistance to ensure passengers are safe on trains.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) completed the pedestrian crosswalk for VTA's Eastridge Transit Center in South Bay. The crosswalk will make it safer for pedestrians to access from Capitol Expressway to Eastridge Mall and transit center for passengers. The San Jose local residents will become safer walking to the mall and/or boarding VTA transit buses. Because Capitol Expressway is one of the busiest roadways in South Bay during commuter hours, and intersection at Tully Road walkway connection is critically safer.

The Alameda County Sheriff's officer Sgt. Ray Keller identified the driver of a Tesla Model-S car that crashed into a pond within county jurisdiction. The driver was identified as Keith Leung of Danville was discovered early this Monday morning strapped in the car. The Alameda County officers will work closely with CHP (California Highway Patrol) during an investigation for appropriated crash elements. The crash was reported by a local resident who called 911 to report the accident and found debris along the pond.

The City of Belvedere in Marin County has the worst commuting time during traffic congestion within San Francisco Bay Area. The data information released by MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) shows a resident in Belvedere would take 40.6 minutes commuting to work and longer than the second longest worker commute in Marin County. The Belvedere city officials ratified a study funding amount of $15,000 to help with Tiburon Boulevard traffic congestion.

The Caltrain transit agency is offering early services during morning hours for Bay To Breakers in San Francisco on Sunday, May 20, 2018. The legendary Bay To Breakers runners and participants can ride early morning Caltrain from San Jose to San Francisco. The Caltrain will run 4 special northbound trains with for the iconic human race with limited stops along the way. The trains will depart from San Jose at 5:50 AM and arriving in San Francisco before the race begins at 8 AM for preparation.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) transit agency is preparing for street closures during the annual Bay To Breakers on Sunday, May 20, 2018. Some transit routes for muni buses will change during Bay To Breakers and returning back to normal routes thereafter the race. The SFMTA will provide pre and post services for the event and ferry services will be provided early morning from Larkspur ferry terminal. The SFMTA administration is encouraging people to take public transportation and/or alternative ways.

The VTA webinar technology session will get people involved and aware of the BART extension project progressive status on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency is partnering with Ford GoBike for BTWM (Bike To Work Month) within San Francisco Bay Area. The MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) partnership with local agencies had a successful BTWD (Bike To Work Day) on May 10, 2018. The BART and Ford GoBike BTWM will hopefully increase bike riders membership and ride BART to work during every month. It will also help passengers get to and from work quicker and easier with convenience because Ford GoBike stations will be available at BART stations.

The reports identified 24th Annual BTWD (Bike To Work Day) estimated 100,000 bike riders participated within San Francisco Bay Area in nine regional counties. The weather was great and enjoying energizing refreshments along the way to work within the Bay Area on May 10, 2018. It was a great team effort among all bicyclists, working teams, families, children, elected officials, etc. The MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) and other business entities collaboration were able to secure a successful event in the Bay Area.
