DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES TRANSIT SAFETY PROJECTS IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) board will consider safety projects for disadvantaged communities in Tenderloin and South of Market neighborhoods in San Francisco. The safety projects will transform safety elements for pedestrians and bicyclists in therein communities to minimize and/or avoid traffic injuries and fatalities. The records show 47% of fatal collisions with highest percentage of injuries within those disadvantaged communities of concerns. The proposed safety projects will provide safety improvement elements for communities including safety for pedestrians and bicyclists - if SFMTA approves it.
