The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) receives FTA (Federal Transit Administration) support for therein transit extension project in South Bay. The FTA issued a ROD (Records Of Decision) status for VTA's Phase-II extension project for BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit). The ROD status is a requirement to receive federal funding support for VTA's BART extension project to make it happen. The identified requirement status will certainly put VTA in a strong position for receiving federal funding.

The local traffic congestion and housing cost increase within San Francisco Bay Area showing 46% residents will plan to leave. The BAC (Bay Area Council) agency released a poll finding showing 46% of people planning to leave, 40% from last year, and 34% from the year 2016. The survey report shows housing cost increase as #1 problem and traffic congestion as #2 problem living in the Bay Area. It also shows 42% of people would pay $3 or more to help resolve local traffic congestion problems.

The AC Transit (Alameda-Contra Costa) agency is partnering with Piedmont Fire Department for mass casualty training for passengers safety. They piled controversial e-scooters in front of the Google shuttle bus on Valencia and 24th streets with orange smoke on therein pile of scooters. The protesters showed their feelings of the city treating homelessness worse than tech scooters and companies. Some protesters are saying, "the homeless population deserves the same respect at City Hall" and blames technology companies.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency opened extension transit services to Antioch starting the last Saturday in May. The BART administration along with local officials celebrated last Friday during the opening ceremony, and marking the first usage of DMU (Diesel Multiple Units) trains. The BART trains can transport an estimated number of 2400 passengers during within each direction - $525 million extension project. The Antioch BART station will provide commuters traveling along Highway-4 alternatives and easing traffic along the way.

The driver of a Tesla Model-S car hit an unoccupied parked police vehicle at Laguna Beach in Orange County, California. The driver shared with investigators that the Tesla car was in autopilot mode during therein time.
