The San Francisco Transportation Authority approved therein routing extension for Caltrain to reach downtown Salesforce Transit Center. The Caltrain tracks extension will go along Pennsylvania Avenue with a tunnel project costing amount of $6.1 billion for the construction. The extension project would allow Caltrain access to Salesforce Transit Center for daily commuting passengers. The railway tracks extension for Caltrain will become eventually used by HSR (High Speed Rail) trains to reach San Francisco.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is having Muni Heritage Weekend celebration during this Saturday, September 8, 2018 and Sunday, September 9, 2018 in San Francisco. The annual event will bring historical heritage and vintage vehicles onto the streets of The City for its transit history celebration - noon to 5 PM. The passengers can maximize free loop rides on vintage historical vehicles near the ferry building. Including historical muni railway transit cars and people can check out the muni historical museum with several exhibits.

The local residents in the Bay Area are complaining about too much noise from airplanes arriving and/or departing from SFO (San Francisco International Airport). A member of San Francisco Board of Supervisors requested a public hearing for therein problematic noise from airplanes arriving/departing at SFO Airport. The Supervisor Ahsha Safai, representing District-11 of San Francisco Board of Supervisors have received complaints and seen people with distress.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is launching the Building Progress project to update its maintenance facilities. The SFMTA project is to modernize its maintenance facilities with modern technology to become more competitive with updated technology systems. The muni Building Progress project would make a better tracking system for local muni buses and railway trains with updated modernize technology systems. The muni Potrero Yard will be the first to be modernized with updated technology systems and will reach out for local community feedback.

The SamTrans transit agency is launching a mobile app for passengers to obtain bus tickets as well as real time transit bus arrivals in the Peninsula-West Bay locations. The SamTrans agency Mobil App will modernize ticket payments and planning trips for passengers. It provides an opportunity for passengers to expedite payments for their bus tickets on the road and transit ticket receivership. The SamTrans administration is hoping therein mobile approach will enhance overall customer services experience for passengers.

The transportation contractors providing Tech Shuttle services for tech companies hired replacement drivers to transport employees. The union drivers are going through a labor dispute during it's negotiating phase with contracting shuttle companies and tech companies without a strike. Therefore, replacement drivers have been in training to replace shuttle union drivers to transport tech companies employees. The representation of union drivers by Teamsters local membership protest have been disrupting tech shuttle buses in San Francisco.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency will make some major infrastructure tracking repairs during Labor Day weekend in East Bay. The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa) transit buses will be available for services during the weekend and Labor Day services will run a Sunday schedule. The BART track repairs will also happen on Saturday, September 22, and Sunday, September 23, 2018 and possibly therein same schedule will occur for services. There will be local temporary inconvenience and loud noises during train tracking repairs over the weekend.

The UA (United Airlines) announced that first checked in bag fees for traveling passengers will increase to $30 effective today. The UA airlines are following therein bag fees increase by JetBlue Airlines and other airlines will increase their bag fees as well. The JetBlue Airlines increased their reservation changes and/or cancellation fees depending on therein changes/cancellation status in advance. The UA airlines will apply therein bag fees increase only for tickets purchased thereafter today for traveling passengers.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit is offering railway services only thereafter 49ers game tomorrow for football fans in South Bay. The VTA transit agency is reminding American football fans for traveling plans to Levi Stadium to watch San Francisco 49ers home game playing Los Angeles Chargers. The VTA transit normal regular services will happen before and during the football game to avoid traffic problems. The VTA administration is encouraging football fans in South Bay to us public transit avoiding local traffic problems.

The municipal cities within the Peninsula/West Bay of San Francisco Bay Area formed a partnership coalition to develop bicyclist bikeway to help with local traffic congestion. The local cities includes Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Mountain View, Redwood City, and Stanford University. The partnership coalition is called MMP (Managers Mobility Partnership) and have been meeting every month to seek local transit resolutions. The MMP partnership effort have decided to launch a bikeway for bicyclists connecting people with point-to-point transit locations.
