The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa) transit agency opened therein transbay services at the iconic new Salesforce Transit Center in San Francisco. The AC transbay services at therein grand central station "hub center" was fully operating this morning thereafter a grand opening over the weekend. The new iconic Salesforce Transit Center costing amount is $2.2 billion with eight years to build therein transit hub center. Other transit buses in regional San Francisco Bay Area locations are operating at therein hub center as well.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency is offering services for Summer Jazz Festival 2018 in South Bay with music, food, entertainment, etc. Including fun activities for families and children with local festival vendors, and encouraging to take VTA transit and/or light railway trains. The VTA transit services can provide stress-free rides for passengers to experience Summer Fest activities in Silicon Valley. The San Francisco Bay Area will be filled with fun activities at North Bay, South Bay, East Bay, and Peninsula/West Bay.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is sharing its Interactive Project Map for local transportation improvement projects. The interactive online map will provide visitors and local people with knowledgeable aspects of local roadway projects. It gives the public a quick eve-view of local transportation projects happening in San Francisco for transit improvement. The SFMTA online map also provides visiting tourist people information when planning a trip to the city as well as conferences.

The Salesforce Transit Center in San Francisco is having the grand opening ribbon cutting to officially open for therein transit services. The grand opening event will include local, state, and federal legislatures with TJPA (Transbay Joint Powers Authority) officials. Including a free Neighborhood Block Party tomorrow on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 12 noon to 4 PM for the celebration. There will be food, entertainment, etc. with transit center tours for people to explore and enjoy the transit center festivities.

The SamTrans transit agency serving San Mateo County is combining bus lines KX and 398 to increase services to San Francisco. The routing lines will run every hour for services going to San Francisco with other detours on the way, and will have more transit buses. The new combining routes will take passengers to downtown San Francisco across from Salesforce Transit Center. There will also be other changes within the system to make services more efficient for commuting passengers.

The 49ers football team preseason game is happening tomorrow on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Levi Stadium and encouraging fans to take Caltrain. The American football fans can take Caltrain to Mountain View and take light railway trains to Levi Stadium for the football game. All passengers must have tickets available when boarding Caltrain because tickets are not sold on the train. All alcoholic beverages will not be allowed on the trains after 9 PM and violators will be prosecuted.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) is discontinuing services for Express Light Rail Services effective Monday, October 8, 2018. The VTA transit agency has been operating Express Light Rail Services during last eight years with six trains within commuting hours. The VTA transit agency board approved therein discontinuation services with hopes to help with VTA operating costing amount. The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa) transit agency is changing transbay and local service lines effective Sunday, August 12, 2018. The AC transit agency transbay services in San Francisco will be moved to Salesforce Transit Center along with changes on operating transbay lines. Some of transbay lines service stops will be consolidated and transbay lines L and S will have new routing. The changes will discontinue other transbay lines and some lines will be restricted for transbay passengers only.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency announced the increase for police officers patrol to six days a week and updating security training for employees. The announced security action plan effort is to improve safety measures for passengers and hopefully the BART Board of Directors will approve. The proposed action plan will be reviewed by Board of Directors at their meeting on Thursday, August 9, 2018. The BART administration will implement therein comprehensive safety action plan thereafter board approval to ensure passengers are more safely secured.

An Uber driver was convicted for vehicular manslaughter regarding therein death of a girl in San Francisco. The family filed a lawsuit for wrongful death against the defendant for liability and manslaughter. The jury deliberated on Tuesday and reached the guilty verdict for Syed Abid Muzaffar, a former Uber driver for manslaughter and death for a 6 year old girl. The Asian girl was struck by therein Uber driver on New Year's Eve during 2013 in San Francisco when she was crossing the street with her family.
