The Muni Buses Transit system in San Francisco has been going through many challenges, and passengers raising concerns with bus operators. Some passengers are saying, "Muni bus drivers/operators appear to take too long breaks and some are taking too many breaks during their driving assignments." A report was released indicating SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is monitoring bus driver's break time. Some bus drivers are abusing the system and leaving passengers on transit buses while obtaining items from local stores.

The Virgin Airlines flight from Denver, Colorado to San Francisco, California today has to return thereafter takeoff because of a bird strike. The flight 865 was going to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and was struck by a bird during takeoff at Denver International Airport (DIA). The airplane returned and landed carefully at DIA without any passenger injuries. The flight was scheduled to arrive at SFO around 2:30 PM and was delayed because of the situation for safety reasoning.

If working class people taking public transit to work this morning will find problems because of Caltrain and BART emergency situations. The morning Caltrain 305 going to San Francisco struck a pedestrian around 6:31 AM in Burlingame and delayed northbound trains. The trains were delayed approximately 1 to 1.5 hours and no train passengers with injuries were reported. SamTrans transit buses were called to transport train passengers during the collision situation, and officials are investigating the collision and what happened.

The HSR (High Speed Rail) transportation system was approved by voters in 2008 through a bond measure initiative. The initial HSR estimated costing amount was $33 million for the high-speed rail system, and it keeps elevating to differentiated billion dollar amounts of operational cost - it's now $64 billion. Many local city council members within Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, and San Mateo Counties oppose the HSR elevating costing amounts. Because they would rather have identified HSR dollar amounts spent for local transportation.

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors approved new metro cars in San Francisco, and new cars will be accepted this coming Fall season. The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) Board of Directors decided to upgrade fleet metro cars since 1990 and new LRVs (Light-Rail Vehicles) will be manufactured in Sacramento, California. The original plan is to have new LRVs running by the end of 2016 and not happening because of a processing delay. It includes nice interiors with spiffy exterior looking and should be in service during the Summer season next year.

The ongoing developments in San Francisco is raising more needs for transportation to ease traffic congestion on roadways and highways within San Francisco Bay Area. The UCSF Mission Bay hospital campus, pending Warriors Arena, including more housing developments will come with more local traffic issues. The San Francisco Port Commission was able to hear a proposal for a Mission Bay Ferry Terminal, and transporting approximately 10,000 passengers to Mission Bay Terminal per day.

National airports Transportation Security Administration (TSA) reported about TSA shortage, and may create long lines for San Francisco Bay Area local airports. TSA is recommending airport departing passengers to arrive 3 hours at the airport and stand at check-in lines before departing flights. It may get worse during Summer traveling time for passengers and TSA is considering hiring more airport screening officers. Including more K9 teams as part of the planning process and possibly happen next month in June.

The vehicular traffic within San Francisco Bay Area continues to get worse, and working class people are seeking for improvement. Part of the solution is creating commuter lanes on local highways for certain cars, and hoping to minimize traffic congestion on highways and roadways. Unfortunately, some drivers are cheating on using commuter lanes without appropriate number of passengers and/or certain type of vehicles. Drivers will continue to violate traffic laws without enforcement, and until the driver is caught abusing commuter lanes inappropriately.

The Southwest Airlines with passengers onboard heading for San Francisco International Airport (SFO) had to make an emergency landing at San Jose International Airport (SJC). The airlines flight 346 from Phoenix International Airport had to be detoured with the emergency landing because of mechanical problems. The plane landed safely at SJC within San Francisco Bay Area at 11:15 AM this morning without any injuries, and able to taxi down the runway without problems.

Traveling on airplanes within long distance flights can be damaging to the natural human system, and airplane jet-lags can become harmful for the human health. The researchers at Stanford University and a local business Lumos Tech are providing a therapeutic mask to offset the brain system. The mask device can become a therapeutic treatment for travelers, and helps with sleeping patterns during long distance flights. The mask can use light therapy to adjust the body clock while sleeping, and fooling the user's brain thinking it's a different time zone.
