The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) new trains are being constructed with new wiring for communication systems at Siemens Industry Inc. in Sacramento, California. The new trains were unveiled with new smelling inside and plastic covering on the floors and seats, and new trains will be on San Francisco streets for services later during 2017.

The HSR (High Speed Rail) development has been going through many challenges, and federal legislatures are looking into the project's feasibility status. The California HSR project is one of the top projects nationwide and U.S. Department of Transportation is checking on HSR development status, costing amounts, etc. The HSR transportation project was approved by California voters under Prop 1A in November 2008, allowing bond funding as the project threshold to initiate railway construction.

The iconic Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco is considering a new tolling collection system avoiding car accidents. The latest report indicates 84 cars have crashed into the Golden Gate Bridge toll plaza according to Golden Gate Bridge Highway Transportation District reports. The current toll plaza system have to be updated with new equipment and also avoiding cars crashing into it. The Golden Gate District Board of Directors is planning to tear down the old toll plaza and have a new toll plaza system in place during 2018.

The study reports each driver would pay out of their pocket over $2400 annually for commuting fuel, car repairs, car tires wear and tear, etc. and costing the State of California $53.6 billion annually.

The Ford Motors company is recalling 88,000+ cars in San Francisco Bay Area and nationwide for safety reasoning. The recall covers many cars from 2013 to 2015 model years including turbocharge cylinder engines. Its a recall since the engines will stall without warning signs because of the fuel pump problems. Ford officials identified the fuel pump control modules may fail and car engines can't start or the car could stall. Car dealers will replace the problematic pump modules without cost to customers and starting in October 2016.

Americans are going through the current election season nationwide, and local voters will make their decisions on local initiatives involving transportation. Alameda County, California unanimously voted for tax Measure B (2000) and Measure BB (2014) to help local public transportation for the people. Alameda CTC (County Transportation Commission) released its 14th Annual Report itemizing expenditures using voter approved funding measures.

The car shipment in San Francisco Bay Area has been relocated to Oakland Port from San Francisco Port during recent decades. A new deal with Port of San Francisco officials and Pasha Automotive Services, San Rafael, California has been reached for car shipment at Pier-80 in San Francisco. A celebration was in place for the new car shipment deal using Pier-80 as the main cargo terminal for shipments. The City officials, Port of San Francisco officials and Pasha Automotive Services are happy with the new import/export lease agreement.

The new trains in San Francisco will be on the way because of $45 million funding from California State Transportation Agency cap-and-trade funds. The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) will have more trains to upgrade their fleet and 42 trains are fully funded for delivery. The new trains are manufactured by Siemens Industry Inc. and will help to upgrade The City muni transportation system in San Francisco Bay Area. The new muni transit system will include communication reliable systems, charging stations, different colored signs for various bus lines, etc.

The California State Transportation Agency is awarding funding amounts for transportation improvement projects in San Francisco Bay Area and statewide. The Caltrain transit system is getting $20 million to invest in an electrification project to replace diesel equipment for trains. The Caltrain improvement project will provide trains with high-powered electrical systems and saving our natural environment. Transporting passengers faster, quicker and efficient, with more frequent services and significantly reducing emission fuels.
