A former Southwest Airlines baggage handler employee was convicted of violating the airport security regulations. The violation includes illegally smuggling marijuana through Oakland International Airport and disobeying security rules for drug trafficking. Michael Videau is pending the sentencing process of possibly serving 15 years in jail, and he is one of 13 people indicted by the grand jury in Oakland. He pleaded guilty for his illegal actions and marijuana was delivered and sold within many different states nationwide.

The competition for airlines regarding passengers fees can be reasonable at times, and sometimes airline fares can be higher depending on airlines standards. Jetblue airlines is offering $39 from San Jose International Airport (SJC) to Long Beach Airport (LGB) starting January 2017. It will have 4 flights each day going from SJC to LGB with some of the fares as low as $39 each flight per passenger. The A320 aircraft is configured with 150 passengers onboard will be utilized during the air flight journey.

Traffic early this morning was very bad on Highway 99 northbound because of a major accident killing 5 and injured several passengers. A charter bus was transporting 30 passengers from Mexico to the State of Washington, including several stops in Los Angeles, Livingston, and Sacramento, California. The bus was heading northbound on Highway 99 and crashed along the freeway by hitting a steel pole holding a freeway sign around 3:35 AM. The charter bus sliced through the steel pole of a freeway sign near Liberty Avenue in Livingston, California.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) transportation system is going through many changes and repairs for service improvement ensuring passengers are safe. BART will start closing the transit system starting tomorrow between Glen Park, Balboa Park, and Daly City stations to begin critical repairs. The train tracking closures for repairs will be over 7 weekends and improvement repairs will begin this weekend. Improvement repairs will include installation of sound dampening equipment for passengers to have smooth rides while on BART trains.

The Uber San Francisco based ride-sharing company and Uber drivers, have been going through many recent challenges in San Francisco Bay Area and nationwide. This past weekend an Uber driver was arrested for sexual abuse and assault of a passenger after the pickup in Palo Alto. Other Uber drivers were arrested previously regarding passenger's safety and abusing situations during transporting activities. Uber company and drivers are continually going through legal challenges including safety concerns for traveling passengers.

The Palo Alto based car company has been constructing its battery manufacturing site in Sparks, Nevada with future optimism. The Gigafactory development site is officially open and costing amount of $5 billion for batteries to keep Tesla cars environmentally safe. The Tesla Motors and manufacturing partnerships will produce battery cells and lithiumion batteries with hopes to reduce the battery costing amounts in 2018. The factory is approximately 14% complete and about 10 million square feet thereafter full completion, and becoming one of the biggest building in the world.
