National airports Transportation Security Administration (TSA) reported about TSA shortage, and may create long lines for San Francisco Bay Area local airports. TSA is recommending airport departing passengers to arrive 3 hours at the airport and stand at check-in lines before departing flights. It may get worse during Summer traveling time for passengers and TSA is considering hiring more airport screening officers. Including more K9 teams as part of the planning process and possibly happen next month in June.

The vehicular traffic within San Francisco Bay Area continues to get worse, and working class people are seeking for improvement. Part of the solution is creating commuter lanes on local highways for certain cars, and hoping to minimize traffic congestion on highways and roadways. Unfortunately, some drivers are cheating on using commuter lanes without appropriate number of passengers and/or certain type of vehicles. Drivers will continue to violate traffic laws without enforcement, and until the driver is caught abusing commuter lanes inappropriately.

The Southwest Airlines with passengers onboard heading for San Francisco International Airport (SFO) had to make an emergency landing at San Jose International Airport (SJC). The airlines flight 346 from Phoenix International Airport had to be detoured with the emergency landing because of mechanical problems. The plane landed safely at SJC within San Francisco Bay Area at 11:15 AM this morning without any injuries, and able to taxi down the runway without problems.

Traveling on airplanes within long distance flights can be damaging to the natural human system, and airplane jet-lags can become harmful for the human health. The researchers at Stanford University and a local business Lumos Tech are providing a therapeutic mask to offset the brain system. The mask device can become a therapeutic treatment for travelers, and helps with sleeping patterns during long distance flights. The mask can use light therapy to adjust the body clock while sleeping, and fooling the user's brain thinking it's a different time zone.

The delivery truck for Meals On Wheels was stolen by two suspects, and leading police into a car chase on highways and roadways in San Francisco Bay Area. The vehicle was disabled by police in Castro Valley, California after the car chase through Hayward, Union City, and Fremont local municipal cities. The suspects threatened police officers with a bomb threat and stolen vehicle, including carjacking and felony charges. Local traffic was temporarily impacted and backup on roadways were cleared for vehicular operations.

Some San Francisco local residents and activists were not supportive of Google Shuttles in the city, and filed a lawsuit regarding environmental issues. San Francisco Superior Court Judge Garrett Wong was presiding over the case decided to throw away the case, because of a "moot" point of the matter as an original pilot program. The plaintiff attorneys Richard Drury and Rebecca Davis feel the lawsuit process was delayed purposely by City Attorney's office for 5 months.

The public transportation system within San Francisco Bay Area is trying many ways for improvement, including safety for passengers and personal vehicles. BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) transportation system is considering to have license plate tracking cameras at BART locations for safety. The BART Board of Directors have agreed to implement a policy procedures method using technology and will consider approving it during the process. A grant funding amount was obtained by BART Police in 2013 to purchase the license plate reading technology system.

The upcoming elections in November will have many transportation elements for people to consider, including a measure for Santa Clara County transportation needs. The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transportation agency serves Santa Clara County for many years, and proposing a ballot measure for upcoming elections to improve transportation. The proposing measure is to shape the infrastructure of VTA transportation system, and meeting transportation needs of commuting passengers.
