The Waymo and Uber ride-hailing company have settled their lawsuit differences over autonomous car technology theft allegations. The legal settlement today on Friday leads to compromising thereafter the fourth day trial including revelations of embarrassing testimonies. The Waymo/Alphabet Inc. filed a lawsuit against Uber because of allegations thereby Uber company stole trade secrets from Waymo autonomous technology - leading into a legal trial. The San Francisco City Attorney is suing the State of California for allegation of an unconstitutional state violation regarding Uber and Lyft ride-hailing cars. The California governor signed into enacted legislation to allow Uber and Lyft drivers of having one business license to drive anywhere within the state. The San Francisco City Attorney identifies therein enacted law will prevent The City from Uber and Lyft drivers to obtain a local business license. Because it will not become a requirement for Uber and Lyft drivers living outside San Francisco jurisdiction.

The Transbay Transit Center in San Francisco is expected to open within less than five months, and local residents are sharing concerns with homeless population. The TJPA (Transbay Joint Powers Authority) Citizens Advisory Committee recently had public meetings with local neighborhoods to look at ways and means of strategy to handle homelessness. The TJPA committee shared their concerns with potential impact of increased homelessness within local neighborhoods affecting the transit center.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) released upcoming events in San Francisco impacting local and muni traffic. The traffic improvement projects on Van Ness Avenue will continue, Giants FanFest, Chinese New Year Flower Fair, etc. and other muni routes will be changed and/or roadway closure for awareness. It was a tough challenging day for the former Uber CEO, Travis Kalanick at federal courts in San Francisco during the trial second day. The SFO (San Francisco International Airport) started closing airport ramps and roadways yesterday for improvement projects. The SFO administration announced closures will be throughout the whole week until Friday, February 9, 2018 from 11 PM to 5 AM daily. The full closure of northbound Highway 101 off-ramp will happen and traffic will be directed to us San Bruno Avenue with changing direction. The Domestic Garage access will be restricted and private cars and other vehicles will need to access the garage by circling the terminals.

An advocacy team of local legislators are urging MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) to not forget about the Dumbarton Rail Bridge project. The San Mateo County Supervisor Warren Slocum, U.S. Rep. Jackie Speier, and U.S. Rep. The new traffic lane is on Highway I-580 between San Rafael and Richmond, and planning to open during April 2018. The MTC subsidiary affiliate BATA (Bay Area Toll Authority) and Caltrans construction team, will test therein Richmond-San Rafael bridge project signs to ensure they work properly.

The SamTrans transit agency recently merged several trip routes for improvement services within San Mateo County and cross-county local communities. Including additional services scheduling changes and adjustments to improve on-time transit services performance. The SamTrans service operations take into affect traffic impacts and traveling patterns to study for transit service changes performance impacts. The transit services to coastside communities have been implemented as part of community public hearings and Route-118 will transport passengers to Daly City.

A woman was sexually assaulted on BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) during this Wednesday night on her way home from San Francisco. The woman boarded BART trains at 16th Street Station in Mission District within San Francisco, and she fell asleep going eastbound and said a man was touching her thigh. The BART Police is investigating the situation and reviewing video cameras on BART trains, and hoping to find the person who assaulted the female passenger.
