The Alameda CTC (County Transportation Commission) has approved $107 million for Highway I-680 improvement project to hopefully ease traffic in San Francisco Bay Area. The highway Express Lane improvement project is a partnership between Caltrans and Alameda County for construction to begin during early 2018. The project construction will be along Highway I-680 in northern Sunol regional area, and it will widen the existing freeway with express lanes. Including upgrades and modifications for controlled accessibility similar to the other project on Highway I-580 express lanes.

The Lucid Motors announced moving its headquarters across the Bay Area from Menlo Park, California to Newark across Dumbarton Bridge. Because of its growth within San Francisco Bay Area and needs more space of operation to enable more collaborative designing and engineering developments. The new Lucid Motors headquarter location is not far from Tesla's autonomous competitor factory in the Bay Area. The new headquarters paperwork process is happening and will have more space for lab, design and engineering including office personnel.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) improvement project for Rapid 523 transit services will complete the majority of bus stop construction during next month. The new bus routing rapid service is aiming to begin next year during June 2018, and upgraded repairs along bus stops in San Jose and Santa Clara. The progressive development of therein rapid services improvement project will include construction, at the intersection of Stevens Creek Boulevard and Wolfe Road in Cupertino.

The SamTrans transit services in San Mateo County is having "Stuff-A-Bus" event on Friday, December 1, 2017 to collect toys for boys and girls in the Bay Area. The event will be at Serramonte Shopping Center, 3 Serramonte Center, Daly City 94015 from 11 AM to 2 PM in front of Jamba Juice next to Target. It's a partnership by SamTrans and KOIT 96.5 with Freska bringing holiday season in San Francisco Bay Area. People can join and bring an unwrapped holiday gift to stuff the holiday bus for therein toy drive for boys and girls.

The Oakland mayor and city officials recently purchased a milling machine as part of the plan to repair local streets and sidewalks in East Bay. The repair milling machine cost $570,000 to help with pavement construction and street maintenance projects for repairing crew members. A local measure approval funding along with Alameda County Measure-BB funding is certainly helping with local transportation projects. The Oakland Department of Transportation reports $443 million of backlog street repairs and repaving construction work that needs to happen.

The San Francisco Bay Area Holiday Train running from San Francisco to San Jose along Caltrain railway tracking line is scheduled for the first weekend next month in December. The Holiday Train has been running for 15 years as part of the Bay Area holiday traditions with decorated festive lights. The Holiday Train will run on Saturday, December 2, 2017 and Sunday, December 3, 2017 making stops at nine Caltrain stations. The Holiday Train festive activities are presented and sponsored by Silicon Valley Community Foundation, and free entertainment will be at Caltrain stop locations.

The San Francisco Bay Ferry services will add new service time because of increase ridership and flexibility with East Bay ferry services. The new service time on weekday schedules will enhance services for ferry passengers from Alameda Harbor Bay to San Francisco Ferry building. The new 7 AM departure from East Bay to San Francisco will be effective Monday, December 4, 2017 from Alameda Harbor Bay terminal. The enhancement ferry services is funded by local transportation measures approved by Alameda County voters for transit improvement projects.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) board decided not to have recreational marijuana advertisements on muni transit buses and trains. The mayor's office is strongly opposing therein pot cannabis ads on muni transit systems and under pressure from local neighboring communities. Some local people are saying, "marijuana makes people and teenagers mentally ill including other physical unhealthy symptoms.

The Uber company is going through another legal problem thereafter being fined by State of Colorado for allowing unsafe drivers transport passengers. The Colorado PUC (Public Utilities Commission) fined Uber $8.9 million for authorizing drivers with criminal, and/or motor vehicle offense backgrounds to transport passengers within state jurisdictions. Needless to say, reports identified Uber paid hackers $100,000 to delete all breaching information of customers and drivers as well as showing privacy violations.

The Tesla company is planning to add more charging stations at Hilton Hotels during new year 2018. The Hilton Hotels agreed with Tesla to install electric charging stations at 194 locations nationwide during 2015, and planning to add 86 more charging stations next year. The Silicon Valley regional area have dozens of charging destinations at other local hotels and restaurants. The Tesla company plans to add heavy duty mega-charging stations especially for upcoming new electric transporting semi-trucks to operate within a 400 mile range.
