The Silicon Valley BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) extension project under Phase-II development is considering which tunneling design is suitable for passenger safety. The San Francisco Bay Area transit leaders are looking at options for therein BART tunnel, either single-bore and/or double-bore tunnels for BART trains. The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) and BART officials formed a professional team called the "Peer Review Panel" to provide insight and analytical review of the project tunnels.

The new BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) trains are not ready for services in San Francisco Bay Area during Thanksgiving Day. The BART administration was hoping to have new trains prepared and ready for services on Thanksgiving, and unfortunately it failed a safety inspection test. The CPUC (California Public Utilities Commission) provides safety inspection for public transit trains before it operates to transport passengers. The BART new trains failed therein CPUC safety inspection earlier this month and delaying trains from operating.

The Walmart company is pre-ordering transporting semi-trucks from Tesla since they unveiled the testing prototype few days ago. The Walmart retail company is hoping to have 5 new electric semi-trucks for transporting within U.S. nationwide and 10 for transporting services in Canada. The Walmart retailers and other companies are counting on Tesla's new electric semi-trucks to transport their products to consumers and saving our natural environment.

The holiday season is here and San Francisco Bay Area airports and highways will be busy for upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. The Triple-A reports an estimate of 3.3% increase for holiday travelers this year nationwide from last year - highest Thanksgiving percentage since 2005. The SFO (San Francisco International Airport) is one of the busiest airport in the Bay Area and nationwide, considering many holiday travelers would be going through SFO airport.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) new fleet train cars are on the way and first new train hits San Francisco streets this Friday morning. The SFMTA had a ribbon-cutting ceremony along with local community leaders and legislators for new train services. The first train car was decorated and going into services with honor and dedication to activist and transporting union leader Larry Martin. The SFMTA rolling out its new trains ahead of schedule and will increase the fleet by 68 train cars and eventually replace the old train cars.

The sexual abusive situations nationwide is trending and two other women filed another lawsuit against Uber and claiming they were raped by Uber drivers. The two women also claims Uber is falsely presenting their marketing services "to be safe for passengers" because they were sexually abuse by Uber drivers when riding inside the car. The attorney representing the case is questioning how Uber really checks their driver's background for passenger's safety.

The members of San Francisco Board of Supervisors are sharing concerns about the security company guarding the muni buses yard. The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) hired Cypress Security to guard muni buses/rail yards and facilities for security. The city reports finding reveals many flaws within security company training, insurance, and non-compliance elements with contract stipulations. The SFMTA hired Cypress Security company in 2015 and therein contract will expire March 31, 2018 to provide security guard for transportation facilities and yards.

The California PUC (Public Utilities Commission) has approved new policies for Uber drivers in San Francisco Bay Area and statewide. The state PUC unanimously approved therein policies to improve public safety for passengers and knowingly something has to be done for passengers protection. The California PUC ratified new policies thereafter a public hearing session and advocates fear the new policy requirements would delay drivers an opportunity. Other public speakers fear for the public safety if "no improvement for new policies" to protect passengers are in place accordingly.

The construction projects in San Francisco is making it hard for traffic flow and may be slowing down local safety projects for residents. The San Francisco mayor Ed Lee is directing SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) to have a Rapid Response Team and hopefully will help with pedestrian safety. The City charter has a five year rule stipulation that dictates various construction project developments within the five year period.

The decision making agencies are considering 3 passengers for carpool lanes instead of 2 with hope to ease vehicular traffic congestion in San Francisco Bay Area and statewide. The Caltrans report identifies traffic congestion has been increasing by 3% every year within the State of California. The Caltrans agency identifies a problematic concern with how to meet the federal requirements for highway carpool lanes. Because local Bay Area highway carpool lanes with vehicles moving slowly and risking the loss of federal highway funding.
