The SamTrans transit agency recently merged several trip routes for improvement services within San Mateo County and cross-county local communities. Including additional services scheduling changes and adjustments to improve on-time transit services performance. The SamTrans service operations take into affect traffic impacts and traveling patterns to study for transit service changes performance impacts. The transit services to coastside communities have been implemented as part of community public hearings and Route-118 will transport passengers to Daly City.

A woman was sexually assaulted on BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) during this Wednesday night on her way home from San Francisco. The woman boarded BART trains at 16th Street Station in Mission District within San Francisco, and she fell asleep going eastbound and said a man was touching her thigh. The BART Police is investigating the situation and reviewing video cameras on BART trains, and hoping to find the person who assaulted the female passenger.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) completely installed all muni buses with new fare machines for passengers. The new official fare machines will make it easier and smarter for passengers and operators/drivers during routing trips everyday in San Francisco. The new machines will print transaction details on tickets for passengers, and will keep track of fare payments for SFMTA transit accountability. The SFMTA officials are sharing therein new method of payment tracking is more secured and prevention from theft of muni transfers.

The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa) Transit District completed their Bancroft West Pilot project "bus only red lanes" in partnership with City of Berkeley in San Francisco Bay Area. It's a three block distance pilot project between Dana and Fulton Streets with red painted lanes for transit buses only in the East Bay. This project is part of many transit improvement projects for passengers and will monitor therein project for effectiveness. Hopefully, the transit only lanes will help and make transportation services easier for UC Berkeley students.

The Tesla Motors Inc. is relocating some employees within San Francisco Bay Area to new facilities closer to its factory in Fremont. The company confirmed that it will open therein offices at Dumbarton Circle for approximately 1500 employees from San Mateo office. The relocation plan is to begin the move during April and hopefully the San Mateo office will eventually become empty. The new office facility is approximately 10 miles from Tesla auto production factory in Fremont and expanding it within the process.

The SJC (Mineta San Jose International) airport announced ongoing passenger traffic has increased 15.6% during last year in 2017 at South Bay. The data reporting identifies ongoing air travelers growth for five consecutive years, and setting a record higher number of 1.7 million more travelers during the previous year. The SJC administration shared therein passengers increase because of Silicon Valley business and leisure partnership expansion with new nonstop services.

The latest report identifies some bridges and/or roadways overpass are deficient within San Francisco Bay Area and needs structural repairs. The ARTBA (American Road and Transportation Builders Association) released therein data report sharing mostly traveled deficient bridges and/or overpassing roadways nationwide. Including some in the Bay Area as follow: 1) Highway I-680 in Contra Costa County, 2) Highway I-280 in Santa Clara County, 3) Highway I-80 in Solano County, 4) Highway I-580 in Alameda County, and 5) Highway 101 in San Mateo County.

The Governor Jerry Brown, State of California shared his plans to save local environments and encouraging emission free electric cars for the people. The governor's goal during his budgetary release information is to reduce pollution from transportation sectors within San Francisco Bay Area and statewide - 40% below by 2030. The proposal plan would be aligned with EV (Electric Vehicle) subsidies and would offer $200 million EV subsidies within next eight years.

The upcoming election in June 2018 will give an opportunity for people to vote for approval or disapproval of proposed bridge tolls increase in San Francisco Bay Area. The Bay Area Toll Authority unanimously approved to let voters decide because 60% voters will support based on polling results. The bridge tolls will increase $3 within six years period and first $1 increase will take effect next year, and $1 increase during 2022 and $1 increase during 2025.

The FTA (Federal Transit Administration) has approved therein VTA extension project for BART operations within San Francisco Bay Area. The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) and BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) partnership agencies Phase-II extension received new deadline from FTA. The FTA awarded VTA's Phase-II Extension Project operations for BART trains in Silicon Valley to June 2018 as requested for more development time. The VTA administration is hoping to have therein time to explore more ways and means of feasible tunnels for the six mile extension project.
