The airline pilots flying into SFO Airport (San Francisco International Airport) were responsible for three out of five close-call collisions. The NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) federal officials released a report identifying the pilot error for airlines at SFO airport during last 16 months. The airlines pilot error almost caused passengers to lost their life and another SFO Airport close-call was blamed on ATC (Air Traffic Control).

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency presents VTAlerts mobile app for passengers to become safe onboard transit buses and railway trolleys. The VTA administration is providing therein mobile app for passengers because the passengers can see everyday activities in South Bay. The commuting riders are "eyes and ears" for safety of other passengers and VTA is providing the app tool for passengers to report unlawful activities.

The CSDA (California Special District Association) has highlighted transit services throughout the state including AC (Alameda-Contra Costa) Transit services. The CSDA released a video to share AC Transit services for 60 years of legacy services, and showing an introduction of transportation transformation aligned with millennial years. The presentation video highlights the AC Transit innovative operation and transporting passengers with safe and reliable services. The AC Transit operation has been transporting more than 52 million passengers within 19 million trips during 2017.

The iconic Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco is being inspected for safety reasoning and drivers must become aware of inspection team members doing their job. The scaffolding equipment will be on the bridge location and inspection team members will be dangling perpendicularly over traffic for awareness. The iconic bridge inspection will be for one week starting on bridge towers and descending to sidewalk locations. The engineering inspection team will inspect the bridge throughout this week and review safety elements for precaution.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) and BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) transit agencies partnership to keep BART stations clean and healthy. Because many homeless and drug addicts use the BART station elevators their public toilets, and turning it unhealthy for BART commuting passengers in San Francisco. The BART station at Powell and Civic Center locations are really bad with urinating smell and human waste at times. The SFMTA and BART partnership is working with communities through non-profit agencies for assistance.

The SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) train line services will be tested for PTC (Positive Train Control) system for safety reasoning to protect passengers. The Northwestern Pacific Railroad Company will provide testing elements involved within the PTC system for SMART trains protection. The SMART transit agency is sharing with people to be aware of therein PTC safety system testing during next month. Because it may take up to 6 months for therein safety testing depending on testing results, to ensure passengers will be safely protected during emergency situations.

The San Francisco Bay Area transit agencies are getting state transportation funding including $21 million for SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) in North Bay. The allocated transportation funding will be helpful with extension transit services within the northern Bay Area region. The extension transit services project will potentially get funding from therein Regional Measure-3 (RM3) ballot measure if approved by voters. The SMART extension project will receive $40 million for North Bay regional services from RM3 funding when approved by voters.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) completed the bicycle safety improvement project on Turk Street in San Francisco. The Turk Street Safety Project completion is aligned with Vision Zero to prevent local traffic fatalities, as well as protecting pedestrians and bicyclists. The new protected improvement project for bicycle way between Market Street and Gough Street started with community outreach during 2016. The protected bikeway lane includes visible crosswalk signs and safety painted street zones for bicyclists.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) is partnering with Prospect Silicon Valley to manage transit buses charging elements in the South Bay. The VTA administration purchased 5 electric transit buses and will be charging battery-powered buses through a pilot project. The VTA/Prospect Silicon Valley partnership charging pilot project is funded by CEC (California Energy Commission) and will monitor results for possible usage throughout the state and nationwide.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) muni bus project along Van Ness Avenue is climbing to $21.6 million - more than anticipated. The SFMTA BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) improvement project is to help muni buses run rapidly quicker and efficient. The project contractor, Walsh Construction, has filed claims with the City of San Francisco of $21.6 million for the BRT improvement project. Including time for project delays and city officials are looking to negotiate therein project amounts with the contracting agency.
