BART STATION PROGRAM EXTENSION WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The Elevator Attendant program for BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) stations in San Francisco at Powell Street and Civic Center is been extended to November 2019. The partnership pilot program is to keep therein BART stations clean, safe, and healthy for commuting passengers. The Elevator Attendant program is a partnership effort by SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) and BART to protect passengers. The partnership program is funded by BART and SFMTA through the community and hire local workers to make it happen. The program is receiving an extension because of positive feedback from commuting passengers along with local businesses and residents. The BART agency approved and submitted their 2019 fiscal year budget including funds for therein program.
