The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is restoring parking meter fees in West Bay for cars parking in San Francisco effective Monday, July 6, 2020. The businesses in San Francisco are starting to open and parking meter fees will be restored to help clean the city with street cleaning services. The SFMTA parking meter fees will have discounting rates depending on the area with parking demands for residents and businesses. The parking meter fees have been suspended because of the COVID-19 health pandemic and SFMTA was loosing a major part of operational revenues.

The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District) agency is starting to test the 9.5 routing stretch on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 for bus only lanes in East Bay. The AC transit bus only lanes will be for their BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) services in East Bay during late summer. The AC transit agency is providing public services patrol along therein corridor stretch, to ensure it's safely clear for the BRT bus only to use without other cars in the way. The AC transit is working closely with Alameda County Sheriff Officers to ensure bus only lanes are clear for BRT services.

The SolTrans (Solano County Transit) agency will increase passenger services in North Bay effective Sunday, July 5, 2020. The transit agency services have been decreased in San Francisco Bay Area like other transit agencies because of therein COVID-19 health pandemic. The SolTrans agency will operate modified services on Friday, July 3, 2020 and no services on Saturday, July 4, 2020 because of the Independence Day Holiday. Including service hours will increase for local routes and express routing services within coverage jurisdiction.

The passengers using Capitol Corridor Trains can extend their 10-Ride Tickets package usage for up to 60 days. The Capitol Corridor 10-Ride Tickets package is intended to use for 10 oneway trips within 45 days, and passengers can use it within 60 days per extension. The Capitol Corridor administration has extended therein 10-Ride Tickets package deal 15 additional days to use. The extension will apply if the 10-Ride Ticket was purchased on and/or thereafter Tuesday, June 23, 2020 for eligibility.

The Golden Gate Bridge tolls will increase effective Wednesday, July 1, 2020 to cross the iconic bridge in San Francisco Bay Area. The SFMTA staffing are proposing therein emergency transit lanes to help with local transportation during the COVID-19 recovery plans. The transit buses will provide drop-offs only when appropriate number of passengers are onboard, and ferry vessels will be restricted with number of passengers onboard.

The Caltrain agency in West Bay is getting support from polling voters in San Francisco Bay Area for transit funding needs. The polling study shows 71% respondents will support investing into the system with more Caltrain transit benefits for therein tax measure. The Caltrain funding initiative has to be approved by voters in San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara Counties. The Board of Supervisors for all three counties have to approve therein tax measure, and San Mateo County already approved the tax measure.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) successfully completed Phase I for BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) services in South Bay. The VTA & BART partnership for transit services in South Bay is now open and moving into Phase II of therein project services. The VTA Phase II Project for BART services will extend transit services into downtown San Jose and Santa Clara. The VTA Board of Directors received Phase II Project information to apply for federal funding to expedite the procedural process.
