The WETA (Water Emergency Transportation Authority) transit agency is increasing ferry services in San Francisco Bay Area effective today on Monday, June 15, 2020. Including the Passengers and Crew Safety Plan in place for protection and avoid the spread of therein COVID-19 virus. The WETA Safety Plan involves six points of protection elements with enhanced cleaning, social distancing, face coverings, hand sanitizer, healthy crews, and touchless payments.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) muni transit may not raise bus fares for passengers for next two fiscal years. Because of an agreement with San Francisco Board of Supervisors regardless of SFMTA Board of Director's approval of raising muni passengers fees. The SFMTA and San Francisco Board of Supervisors reached a workable deal thereafter many negotiating discussions. The San Francisco Board of Supervisors approved a resolution of therein negotiating deal aligned with not raising muni fares for the next two years.

The SamTrans Board of Directors unanimously approved the interim first quarter operational and capital budgets for West Bay transit in next fiscal year. The SamTrans board approved $63.5 million Operating Budget and $5.6 million Capital Budget during therein first quarter of Fiscal Year 7/1/20 to 6/30/21. The transit agency is sharing their interim budget with therein extensive impact from COVID-19 with operating and capital funding. The SamTrans agency will closely monitor therein funding with essential needs for passengers aligned with transit services.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) and BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) partnership agencies will open transit services for South Bay passengers tomorrow on Saturday, June 13, 2020. The VTA/BART transporting partnership services will happen at Milpitas and Berryessa Transit Centers in South Bay. The VTA/BART partnership is part of the Silicon Valley Phase I extension services program to transport passengers in South Bay. The VTA agency designed the extension project and BART will operate therein designed train systems to transport commuting passengers.

The Caltrain transit agency in West Bay will increase weekday services effective Monday, June 15, 2020. Because businesses in San Francisco Bay Area are starting to open and more passengers are traveling for essential needs. The Caltrain agency will maintain faster frequency services with user-friendly commuting options for passengers. The transit agency will operate 70 trains with the new modified schedule and limited trains program during weekday services.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency is adding more service trains because of ridership is picking up and South Bay station is scheduled to start operating on Saturday, June 13, 2020. The BART added 3 trains to therein yellow service line with 15 minutes service frequency during morning and evening commuting hours. The transit agency will continue to monitor ridership levels for additional service changes when necessary. Including 13 minutes of traveling time for orange and green BART service lines during weekday services only.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) transit is increasing services effective Saturday, June 13, 2020 at West Bay. Because businesses are starting to open in San Francisco and to continually provide transit services for essential workers. Including changes to improve muni buses frequency levels to make it quicker for traveling passengers with efficient transit services. The SFMTA will consider using larger muni buses to have more space for passengers onboard for COVID-19 physical distancing requirements.

The GGBHTD (Golden Gate Bridge Highway & Transportation District) transit agency is changing services in North Bay effective Sunday, June 14, 2020. The Golden Gate Transit is adjusting and/or cancelling some services to accommodate passengers based on ridership levels. The transit agency transporting schedules will be modified accordingly on a quarterly basis for service efficiency. Including more possible service changes during next month in July depending on transporting needs and systematic service improvement.

The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District) agency is restoring evening services for all evening service bus lines in East Bay. Including restoration of all overnight transit service hours for AC transit bus lines in the Bay Area, as well as transbay services for overnight essential workers. The The AC transit agency is restoring services immediately thereafter receiving information from Alameda County Sheriff Department. Because Sheriff Gregory Ahern submitted a notice of suspending the emergency curfew in place for Alameda County.

The Caltrain transit agency board approves 50% discount for low-income train riders in West Bay within San Francisco Bay Area. The discount approval is aligned with therein usage of Clipper cards when traveling by Caltrain in the Bay Area. The Caltrain board ratified a resolution during February 2019 aligned with therein Clipper card support and offered 20% discount for low-income riders.
