The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency is improving ventilation systems for transporting trains with upgraded air filters. Including two new projects for testing to keep the air filtration systems on higher-grade level with UV-C (ultraviolet) light to capture virus particles. The BART agency is to ensure the air passengers breathe while commuting on trains will be purely clean and healthy for protection. Including the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems are filtering air more effectively to protect BART commuting passengers from COVID-19 virus.

The Grand Hyatt Hotel at SFO (San Francisco International Airport) commercial airport in West Bay has been granted the 2020 National Award. The DBIA (Design Build Institute of America) honored the Grand Hyatt SFO Team Project Award category for therein hotel design to build for construction. The Grand Hyatt SFO honorary team will become part of the national consideration for Excellence and Project of the Year Awards. The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) agency is extending their safety protective elements for paratransit services in South Bay. The VTA transit agency is installing "Driver Bubbles" for their paratransit fleet vans to protect drivers and passengers in South Bay. It's an extra safety protective measure to ensure the drivers and passengers are well protected to avoid therein COVID-19 virus transmission and/or exposure in the Bay Area. Including less number of paratransit passengers onboard to have physical distancing, and stopping the spread of therein COVID-19 virus.

The SCT (Sonoma County Transit) agency continues to operate with revised transit services in North Bay and restoring some services. The SCT paratransit service department is also operating door-to-door services when necessary for passenger needs in North Bay. Some transit agency service lines are operating only during weekdays with suspended weekend services, and transit passengers with college students still riding for free until further notice.

The Alameda CTC (County Transportation Commission) agency has $1.125 million available funding for COVID-19 Rapid Response Bicycle and Pedestrian Grant Program. The Alameda CTC is accepting funding applications through Saturday, October 31, 2020 for therein funding program. The Alameda CTC grant program funding is designed for quick build transportation improvement projects to help bicyclists and pedestrians. The improvement projects can help bicyclists and pedestrians have accessible elements to local businesses and/or employment centers.

The AC (Alameda Contra Costa Transit District) agency is having a press conference at East Bay for Tempo on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. The AC Transit ribbon-cutting and celebration elements are on hold for therein rapid transit bus called Tempo - $232 million transit investment project. Because of the Alameda County health order regarding therein COVID-19 public gathering events, and AC Transit is delaying the Tempo bus ceremony until further notice.

The United Airlines commercial carrier is upgrading their COVID-19 virus protective face covering procedural policy effective Friday, August 7, 2020. The flight passengers using United Airlines would have to wear a face covering mask without an open vent near the nose and/or mouth area. The JetBlue, Alaska, Delta, and Spirit commercial airlines are banning therein same type of face covering masks for flight passengers.

The WETA (Water Emergency Transportation Authority) announced receiving $4.45 million federal funding to rehabilitate their Main Street Alameda ferry terminal. The federal funding was awarded by FTA (Federal Transit Administration) through the Passengers Ferry Grant Program, and will be matched with funding from local initiatives. The federal funding will help upgrade the WETA ferry terminal in Alameda with enhanced transporting service elements - 29 years old ferry terminal.
