The Santa Cruz METRO (Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District) agency in South Bay is encouraging passengers to use their new mobile app for parking. The Santa Cruz METRO transit agency is introducing their new apps to help customers with parking and improving their commuting experience. The parking app can allow passengers traveling for a long distance to park overnight at Scotts Valley Transit Center when using express transit services. It can connect commuting passengers to San Jose Diridon Station for other transit services in South Bay.

The SolTrans (Solano County Transit) agency is planning to detour transit services for Routes 7A and 7B in North Bay. The identified transit service routes will be detoured during therein Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) improvement project in October 2020. The SolTrans agency is supporting therein Caltrans local project by detouring 7A and 7B routing services to have the project completed as planned. The Caltrans improvement project will impact commuting on Highway 80 with six bridges construction.

The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District) transit agency in East Bay is launching more prevention elements to stop therein COVID-19 transmission. The AC Transit recently shared their reNEW Plan for action to protect employees and traveling passengers in East Bay. The transit agency is going beyond therein health and safety standards initiated by the MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) Blue Ribbon Transit Recovery Task Force.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency in South Bay is partnering with California Operation Lifesaver to save passengers. Because this month is Rail Safety Month and VTA with California Operation Lifesaver is highly requesting passengers to be careful when riding your bicycle. Including the Bay Area is gearing up for the BTWD (Bike To Work Day) on Thursday, September 24, 2020 and biking wherever during this whole month can be healthy - DON'T let your guard down.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) agency in West Bay is changing traffic lanes on Van Ness Avenue this evening on Monday, September 14, 2020. The SFMTA construction crew will continue working on the Van Ness Improvement Project regarding therein BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) services along Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco. The SFMTA improvement project has reached a milestone development phase and completed therein project utility elements.

The SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) railway agency in North Bay is continually operating on their modified services schedule. Including suspended railway train services during the weekend and holiday schedules, and no services in the morning during weekdays. The SMART trains will continue to operate with therein modified schedules until further notice, and will operate on Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays - CONGRATS for 3 years of great services in North Bay!

The OAK (Oakland International Airport) commercial airport in East Bay is adding more flights for Spirit Airlines effective Tuesday, November 17, 2020. The Spirit Airlines have been operating at OAK Airport since 2011 and planning to have two daily nonstop flights to southern California. The airlines have year-round nonstop flight services to Las Vegas and Los Angeles from OAK Airport. Including flight services to Chicago, Detroit, and Houston during the summer season with available options during the basic airfare purchase.

The Santa Cruz Metro transit agency in South Bay is launching their service changes during the fall season until further notice. The transit service routes for Santa Cruz County public schools will remain suspended including bus Routes 15, 20D, 22 as well as supplemental trips for Routes 35 and 91X. The transit routes for Highway 17 Express Services will operate with separate weekday and weekend schedules. The suspended transit services for Routes 40, 41, 72W, and 74S have been restored, and any other routes not listed on therein fall season schedules are not in service.

The Caltrain transit agency in West Bay is expanding their bicycle lockers for traveling passengers. The Caltrain Board of Directors approved a contract with eLock Technologies LLC to create more electronic lockers for commuting passengers. The Caltrain agency has served approximately 10,000 passengers with bicycles during weekday schedules, before therein COVID-19 pandemic, and having more electronic lockers available is essentially necessary. The transit agency's bicycle lockers capital improvement project is aligned with therein Electrification Project and the Caltrain Business Plan.

The Marin Transit services in North Bay will be adjusted effective Sunday, September 13, 2020. The transit agency services will eliminate and/or limit other routes, and other service routes will be operating with split schedules. The transit Route 233 will not serve certain stops going northbound and southbound, and Route 22 will not serve southern stops at College of Marin. The transit Route 61 will no longer serve Stinson Beach parking lot and passengers can use the downtown Stinson Beach stop for services.
