The Caltrain transit agency in West Bay is requesting communities feedback for therein Business Plan and today on Friday, August 21, 2020 is the last day for feedback. The Caltrain recently received support from three appropriate counties for therein tax initiative for the upcoming elections - awaiting the peoples voting approval. The Caltrain administration is developing a Business Plan to include Equity, Connectivity, Recovery, and Growth Policy.

The SJC (San Jose International Airport) commercial airport in South Bay announced new nonstop service flights effective Monday, November 9, 2020. The SJC Airport will have Volaris Airlines nonstop flights from Silicon Valley to Mexico City, and will be the seventh nonstop flights between identified locations. The Volaris Airlines will use their A320 aircraft with 179 seating passengers onboard during flights to Silicon Valley. The SJC Airport partnership with Volaris Airlines in South Bay have more nonstop flights to Latin America than any other airline carrier.

The OAK (Oakland International Airport) commercial airport in East Bay is showing 34% increase with passenger flights during July 2020. The OAK Airport data shows 172,085 passengers with departing flights and 72.3% decline for total number of passengers since July 2019 in East Bay. The airport data shows nonstop services to 38 destinations with restored flight services to Morelia and Mexico City by Volaris Airlines. Including restoration flight services by Spirit Airlines to Los Angeles, Detroit, Houston, and Chicago.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is expanding transit services in West Bay effective Saturday, August 22, 2020. Including the expansion transit services for 11 muni bus lines, increasing services frequency on 13 routes, and restoration of muni metro railway services. The SFMTA transit agency is working closely with local business communities to support essential service needs for local economic recovery. The SFMTA expansion services will provide more optional connections for muni transit passengers in commercial business communities.

The SCT (Sonoma County Transit) agency is operating on revised schedules and readjusting transit service lines because of fire evacuations in North Bay. The SCT agency is readjusting some transit service lines in North Bay because of fire activities causing evacuations for local residents and business communities. The transit agency is suspending transporting services for Route 28 for safety reasoning and protecting traveling passengers until further notice.

The ACE (Altamont Corridor Express) train is still operating with revised schedules and sharing awareness information with passengers in South Bay. The construction in Santa Clara for a multipurpose office building is limiting access for passengers traveling on the ACE train - construction may last until 2023. The ACE train personnel is sharing with passengers that they may not park cars using the Yellow Parking Lot #3 at Great America in Santa Clara.

The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District) agency is rolling out their plan for zero emissions fleet vehicles in East Bay. The AC Transit recently completed their Tempo bus rapid transit project, and planning to have more emission free buses in their fleet to reduce pollution. The transit agency has embraced CARB (California Air Resources Board) emission standards by planning to purchase more ZEB (Zero Emission Bus) fleet vehicles. The ZEB fleet vehicles will be integrated into the AC Transit operating system for transporting services efficiency.

The WETA (Water Emergency Transportation Authority) ferry terminal expansion project in West Bay is completed and open for services in downtown San Francisco. The WETA administrators joined local and state legislatures to celebrate therein successful ferry terminal expansion project. The WETA terminal expansion project was to maximize therein ferry services capacity and more staging area for emergency purposes in the Bay Area.

The SCT (Sonoma County Transit) agency is adding a new trip for transit Route 68 line in North Bay. The identified transit line route will operate within weekday schedules from Mondays to Fridays. The same weekday schedules will operate for other local transit routes, and intercity routes will operate using weekend schedules. The SCT agency will continue to provide transit services for essential workers only in North Bay because of therein COVID-19 pandemic.
