The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is replacing muni railway services with transit buses to accommodate muni passengers in West Bay. Because of an overhead equipment malfunction and TMC (Transportation Management Center) staffing tested positive with COVID-19 virus. That created short staffing for TMC and without well functioning equipment for muni services to operate properly and safely. The SFMTA transit agency has to take appropriate actions quickly to provide safe and alternate proper services for muni passengers.

The Capitol Corridor train services agency has been providing virtual meetings regarding their South Bay Connect railway services project. The train services agency virtual meetings will provide Capitol Corridor staffing with community feedback regarding therein railway services. Including more information about the South Bay Connect project alignment with environmental elements consistent with the CCJPA (Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority) review.

The GGBHTD (Golden Gate Bridge Highway & Transportation District) agency is changing transit services for North Bay communities next month. The transit agency has been operating on modified schedules for services in North Bay and will have new changes effective Sunday, September 13, 2020. The transit changes will reflect therein service needs regarding low ridership levels created by the COVID-19 pandemic in San Francisco Bay Area. Including suspension and reduced services for some routing bus lines and/or restoration of some services when necessary.

The SFO (San Francisco International Airport) commercial airport is launching therein COVID-19 testing for airport employees. It's the first airport nationwide in the United States to provide COVID-19 testings for employees and airlines staffing can use therein testing facility as well. The SFO Airport in West Bay with testing ability for COVID-19 is in partnership with Dignity Health-GoHealth Urgent Care testing team, and testing results can be provided within less than one hour.

The CCTA (Contra Costa Transportation Authority) agency successfully completed therein Express Lanes project in East Bay on Highway 680. The CCTA southbound highway Express Lanes project completion was a milestone achievement in partnership with MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) in San Francisco Bay Area. The CCTA and MTC partnership Express Lanes project started in October 2018 with anticipation to complete during the year 2021 timeline.

The Marin Transit services are impacted by therein fire in North Bay with evacuations for residents and local business communities. The Marin Transit agency have to cancel some local service stops within regional service areas, and rerouted some service lines with expanded services when necessary. The SMART (Sonona-Marin Area Rail Transit) train station at the Civic Center is continually closed until Thursday, August 27, 2020 as planned for northbound and southbound railway services.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) is implementing their Seniors Outreach Program to help aging adult passengers in South Bay. The VTA outreach program will engage seniors in South Bay through virtual presentations using Travel Wise 101 series of workshops. The virtual presentations will provide knowledgeable information for senior passengers and gaining their trust with transit services. The VTA transit agency series of workshops to reach seniors will include information about fixed routes for senior passengers.

The BATA (Bay Area Toll Authority) agency monitors moving subjects across the Bay Area bridges 24/7 and detecting more pedestrians and bicyclists crossing therein bridges. The people using scooters and skateboards sometime joins in to enjoy their rides across the Bay Area bridges - good healthy exercise!

The SolTrans (Solano County Transit) agency is awarded $1.85 million federal funding for electric transit buses in North Bay. The SolTrans federal funding award is through FTA (Federal Transit Administration) to revitalize America's bus infrastructure nationwide. The transit agency funding will help with electric buses infrastructure and creating transit charging stations within service areas in North Bay. Including supportive elements to enhance transit services in North Bay and planning the infrastructure for operational standards.
