The SamTrans transit agency is adjusting services and resuming transit fees payment in West Bay effective Sunday, August 16, 2020. The transit buses are redesigned with plastic shielding barriers to protect driving operators from passengers and maintaining physical distancing onboard. The transit passengers will use the front entrance doors to get onboard and exit using the rear transit doors - some routing lines have been adjusted. The SamTrans transit passengers can use clipper cards, mobile devices, and/or cash payments for traveling.

The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District) transit agency is starting services in East Bay for Tempo effective Sunday, August 9, 2020. The AC Transit new bus called Tempo will start serving passengers in East Bay, and using bus only lanes to make it faster for traveling passengers. The AC Transit Tempo bus rapid transit services will replace Line 1 services and making it easier for passengers. The Tempo Line 1T stations are close by the current transit bus Line 1 stops, and switching to Tempo Line 1T will be easier from transit bus stops.

The Golden Gate Ferry (GGF) is celebrating 50 years of golden ferry services in San Francisco Bay Area on Saturday, August 15, 2020. The ferry services agency will celebrate its anniversary by providing scenic views for passengers traveling between Marin and San Francisco. The GGF agency has been providing reliable ferry services for tourists and commuting passengers for 50 years. The ferry services within San Francisco Bay Area includes memorable emergency services during local earthquakes.

The Marin Transit agency is adding more services in North Bay for passengers effective Monday, August 10, 2020. Because the number of passengers are limited on transit buses to have more space for physical distancing with passengers onboard. The additional services will help stop the spread of COVID-19 with passengers physical distancing, and wearing face coverings onboard transit buses in North Bay. The additional transit services will operate from Mondays to Saturdays and connecting passengers to their destinations quickly.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency is closing for two weekends to upgrade their escalator repair project in San Francisco. The BART contractor will close the Powell Street station entrance at 4th and Market Street on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 9 PM until Monday, August 17, 2020 at 4:30 AM. The second closure will happen on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 9 PM until Monday, August 31, 2020 at 4:30 AM for the BART escalator project repairs. The BART contractor repair team will replace therein escalator equipment with new items during thereby two closure weekends.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is implementing a project to help residents in West Bay within the Tenderloin neighborhood in San Francisco. The SFMTA personnel will reconstruct Jones Street to provide more physical distancing for essential working pedestrians. The effort is to protect local residents and pedestrians from transmitting therein COVID-19 virus. The SFMTA transit agency will work closely with business communities to redevelop the street structure to address local community needs.

The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District) agency is suspending services in East Bay for some transit lines effective Sunday, August 9, 2020. The AC Transit is making necessary ridership services adjustment because of therein COVID-19 pandemic in San Francisco Bay Area. The suspension services with identified transit lines will remain until further notice and/or when ridership picks up again with more passengers. The AC Transit suspension services will happen during weekdays and/or weekends for traveling passengers in East Bay.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency is adjusting services in South Bay effective Monday, August 10, 2020. The VTA agency will adjust their transit services to provide better frequencies for passengers using railway trains and transit buses in South Bay. The VTA transit agency updates their schedules on a quarterly basis to better align with services when necessary. It will provide more better and more efficient services for passengers when necessary with adjusted service frequencies.

The Caltrans roadway crew repairs Highway 162 using recycled bottles like asphalt during an experiment in Northern California. The Caltrans state transportation agency is hoping therein experimental experience will prevent more plastic pollution in local environments. Because Caltrans agency already showing more highway repavement repairs within the state, and helping save our environment by using recycled bottles asphalt. The highway crew have to scrape three to six inches off the highway surface, and mix it with liquid plastic polymer binder.

The OAK (Oakland International Airport) commercial airport data is showing more flights in East Bay during June compared to May 2020. The OAK Airport is showing more frequency flights in July for Southwest, Alaska, Spirit, Allegiant, and Volaris airlines. The Hawaiian Airlines is planning to continue daily non-stop flights effective Saturday, August 1, 2020 as the State of Hawaii tourism is reopening. The Southwest Airlines is showing more increasing flight frequencies and approximately more flights during summertime in August 2020.
