The SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) trains in North Bay cancels all weekend services effective immediately until further notice. The SMART Board of Directors have to make therein services decision aligned with community feedback and/or with decreasing ridership. The SMART trains cancellation services will include some weekday cancellation schedules to temporarily accommodate passengers. The SMART trains temporary schedules will apply to both Northbound and Southbound service trains in the mornings and evenings.

The SJC (Mineta San Jose International Airport) airline flights have been decreased by 97% and is planning to expand the airport in South Bay. The SJC Airport plans to add a concourse with gates and parking garage for airport vehicles, and upgrades for runways and aviation facilities. The SJC Airport plans to expand because the number of air traveling passengers will increase by more than 50% in the future. Including the airport hotel with a short-term parking garage available for up to 5000 parking spaces.

The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District) agency is updating some minor service changes in East Bay effective Sunday, June 14, 2020. The AC Transit modified their routing schedules on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 because of therein COVID-19 health pandemic in San Francisco Bay Area. The current modified changes will move pickup times for passengers later and/or earlier at therein routing pickup locations. The AC transit agency will continue to operate with schedules aligned with Sunday services transit schedules.

The OAK (Oakland International Airport) reports 96% decrease for air travelers last month in April 2020 at East Bay compared to last year. The OAK Airport reports therein dramatic decrease since the state Shelter-In-Place order was in place and limited the airport operation. The OAK Airport limited air traveling is the same as other commercial airports in San Francisco Bay Area. Because of therein COVID-19 health pandemic impact with air traveling and other ways of transportation in the Bay Area.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency is progressively securing input from South Bay communities regarding the Better Bus Stops Program. The VTA personnel have been gathering feedback surveys from people to find out how bus stops can be improved in South Bay. The VTA Better Bus Stops Program was initiated during the beginning of January 2020 and moving forward accordingly. The VTA improvement project will be generated based on systematic data with local community feedback.

The Highway 237 Express Lanes tolling fee payments will begin on Monday, June 1, 2020 as highway traffic is starting to pickup in San Francisco Bay Area. The Highway 237 (SR237/State Route 237) Express Lanes toll fees were temporarily suspended on March 20, 2020 because of therein COVID-19 health pandemic. Because things are starting to open for people to return and start working, and Bay Area traffic is starting to pickup - drivers have to start paying for toll fees.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency is releasing a 15 step operational plan for commuting passengers awareness. The BART new operational plan is to continually provide safe and healthy services for passengers during transporting activities in San Francisco Bay Area. The BART 15 step operational plan is based on the "new norm" for commuting within the Bay Area aligned with preventing therein COVID-19 virus. The BART cleaning crew will use high-top cleaning disinfectant substance with quality to clean trains everyday and stop the spread of COVID-19 virus.

The SFO (San Francisco International Airport) launches text accessibility for passengers on emergency situations at SFO Airport. It's an effort to enhance public safety situations at the airport for passengers, employees, and/or people at SFO Airport during emergency situations. The SFO Airport texting threshold will directly connect passengers and/or people to 911 services when necessary. The SFO Airport is opening for flights to Europe and Canada during next month in June and would like to ensure passengers are traveling safely.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency will finally operate transit services in South Bay starting Saturday, June 13, 2020. The BART services will operate in partnership with VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency in South Bay. The VTA worked closely with CPUC (California Public Utilities Commission) for the approval of therein operations Safety and Security Certificate. The VTA/BART partnership will ensure passengers are safe during transporting activities in South Bay.

The SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) agency proposing service reductions depending on feedback from local communities and commuting passengers in North Bay. The SMART agency is seeking communities input for transit services in North Bay because of the budget deficit created by COVID-19 health crisis. The SMART Board of Directors will consider eliminating weekend services, reducing weekday service levels, and eliminating WiFi services onboard.
