The iconic cable cars in San Francisco will have some uncertain times of returning to full service for passengers in West Bay. The cable cars have been an iconic attraction in San Francisco for tourists since World War II, and became a historic national landmark in San Francisco Bay Area. The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) transit operational budget depends on cable cars multi-million dollars income revenues. The SFMTA have to shut down cable cars operation because of therein COVID-19 health pandemic until further notice of operation.
