The Alameda CTC (County Transportation Commission) agency in East Bay is awarded the Best Project 2020 Award in California's Northern Region in the Bay Area. The annual awards are provided by ENR (Engineering News Record) for projects throughout the State of California - CONGRATS to Alameda CTC. The transit agency was awarded for their Highway I-880 Northbound Safety and Operational Improvements at 23rd and 29th Avenues. The Highway 880 in East Bay is a major transporting route for commuters and creating traffic congestion during commuting hours in the Bay Area.

The SCCRTC (Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission) agency in South Bay completed their new Bicycle Signage Program. The transit agency's signage project was to install bicycle signs throughout the county to help bicycle riders find their ways in South Bay. It's an effort to increase bicycle riders with safety elements and SCCRTC signage program crew was able to completely installed 303 bicycle signs countywide. Including long-distance bicycle riders journey for enjoyment with healthy exercise, and accessing fun destinations throughout the county.

The Marin Transit agency in North Bay is offering free rides countywide for passengers during Election Day on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. The transit agency board approved free rides for passengers starting on Saturday, October 31, 2020 until election day in North Bay. It will give local passengers an opportunity to have a free ride to the polling places to vote without worrying about transportation on election day. The Marin Transit agency is providing therein promotional effort for local passengers and having touchless boarding process to avoid the COVID-19 virus.

The SFO (San Francisco International Airport) commercial airport in West Bay is launching a Simplified Arrivals processing for international arriving passengers. It's a facial comparison technology system operated by USCBP (U.S. Customs & Border Patrol) agents at the airport, and same technology system used by other airports nationwide to expedite therein arriving passengers processing. The SFO Airport Simplified Arrivals process will allow USCBP agents to automatically match the international arriving passengers with their traveling documents.

The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District) agency in East Bay is opening their Customer Services Office today on Monday, October 12, 2020 for services. The AC Transit will temporarily have their customer services center at the General Office location in downtown Oakland - 1600 Franklin Street. The customer service hours of operation will be from 8 AM to 5 PM on Monday to Friday during weekdays. The AC Transit staffing will help passengers with bus passes because riding fees/fares will be required on Monday, October 19, 2020.

The VTA transit agency in South Bay is proposing a new service plan for next year and requesting public input. The deadline for feedback from the public regarding therein proposed service plan is Friday, October 16, 2020. The VTA 2021 Transit Service Plan will be implemented during February 2021 if everything goes well thereafter approval by the board. The NVTA agency is partnering with Vine Transit, Transdev, Salvation Army, and Napa County Emergency Operations Center to provide daily meals for fire evacuees in North Bay. The Vine Transit agency delivers 1500 meals each day and fire evacuees really appreciates the food assistance during these tough times in the Bay Area.

The Caltrain transit agency in West Bay is launching a virtual tour for their new electric trains. The Caltrain agency's online virtual tour is called Virtual Reality (VR) Tour for passengers, to experience the future of electrified transporting trains in San Francisco Bay Area. The virtual tour will exhibit therein new electrified trains high-performance as Electrical Multiple Units (EMUs) transporting passengers in the Bay Area. The transit agency's EMUs are assembled in the State of Utah and will be delivered during the procedural process.

The CCTA (Contra Costa Transportation Authority) county-wide agency in East Bay is offering cash rebates for an electric bicycles program. The CCTA agency is now issuing therein cash rebates through a 511CC (511 Contra Costa) pilot program for county-wide local residents. The 511CC program will be funded by therein local Measure J initiative to assist low-income county residents.

The SCCRTC proposed improvement project in South Bay will construct widening lanes along Highway 1 within Santa Cruz County jurisdictions between Freedom Blvd. and State Park Drive. Including reconstruction of two railroad bridges along Highway 1 as well as construction of pedestrians and bicyclists pathway along the Coastal Railway Trail - approximately 1.25 miles.
