The SCCRTC (Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission) agency in South Bay is partnering with the state transportation agency regarding therein Highway 17 project. The SCCRTC is partnering with Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) for the Highway 17 improvement project, and offering traffic advisory for drivers on Highway 17 during the project constructions. The Culvert Rehabilitation Work on Highway 17 will take effect on Sunday, November 1, 2020 for two weeks until Friday, November 13, 2020 between Scotts Valley and Summit Road.

The Marin Transit agency in North Bay is offering free rides for voters to polling places with a contest in San Francisco Bay Area. It will take effect on Saturday, October 31, 2020 until Election Day on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 including a selfie contest for local voting participants - Transit To Vote. The transit agency will provide free rides for voters within Marin County jurisdictions covered by local transit services.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) transit agency in West Bay is extending the Shared Spaces Program permits. The operating permits for Shared Spaces Program was due to expire by December 2020 and maybe extended until June 30, 2021. The SFMTA schedules to send a message to Curbside Lane Permit holders to renew, change, and/or extend the current permit. The Shared Spaces Program permits may become permanent because of the successful effort for San Francisco's economic recovery.

The Tri Delta Transit agency in East Bay announced their collection of passenger fees/fares effective Friday, January 1, 2021 in the Bay Area. The Tri Delta Transit provide services within Contra Costa County eastern neighborhoods funded by ECCTA (Eastern Contra Costa Transit Authority). The transit buses will be upgraded with plastic barriers to protect driving operators and passengers, as well as front door boarding with COVID-19 protective elements.

The SJC (San Jose International Airport) commercial airport in South Bay is partnering with a veterans organization to honor military veterans. The SJC Airport is partnering with PPH (Paws for Purple Hearts) to host a training session for veterans service dogs. The service dogs will help veterans with mobility impairments as well as active military service members. The SJC Airport in Silicon Valley would be the first airport to train PPH veterans service dogs and become familiar with an airport environment.

The MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) is offering Technical Assistance on their website in San Francisco Bay Area. The MTC established a new Technical Assistance program to help regional collaborative partners and make it easier for them to access appropriate information. The MTC technology networking system is a one-stop shop on its website, and therein one-stop Technical Assistance page provides accessible programs. It will provide Direct Assistance programs to offer focus intervention for specific services at an agency's jurisdiction.

The NVTA (Napa Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency in North Bay announced road closure on SR-121 (State Route 121) in the City of Napa. The roadway SR-121 at Lincoln Avenue will be closed for overnight repairs between 9 PM today on Monday, October 26, 2020 and 5 AM on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. The Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) repair crew will provide road improvement repairs at identified roadway intersections during overnight hours. The roadway intersection will be closed on both directions going southbound and northbound for improvement road repairs.

The SFO (San Francisco International Airport) commercial airport in West Bay has been honored with the 2020 Best Design Award in the Bay Area. The SFO Airport received therein honorary design award from IPMI (International Parking & Mobility Institute) 2020 Awards of Excellence for the long-term parking garage facility. The SFO Airport long-term parking facility design and construction started during 2016. The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency in East Bay is opposing the Plan Bay Area 2050 mandate within San Francisco Bay Area. The BART Board of Directors approved a resolution opposing the MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) Plan Bay Area 2050 Strategy EN7. The MTC approved a resolution aligned with therein Plan Bay Area 2050 regional blueprint for San Francisco Bay Area. The BART, some local municipal cities, and some local legislators are opposing thereby MTC Plan Bay Area 2050 regional approach.

The Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) is proposing to improve therein pedestrian infrastructure in South Bay at Corralitos Creek Bridge. The identified Caltrans improvement project will update the pedestrian pathway to become better and consistent with ADA (Americans Disabilities Act) standards. The proposed schedule timeline allows an EIR (Environmental Impact Report) document completed with a project design during 11/2021. The Caltrans improvement project construction should begin during 10/2023 if everything goes well as planned and completed by 9/2024.
