The first nurse infected by Ebola is Nina Pham, and apparently a second infected nurse who is a colleague of Nina Pham, flew back to Texas from Cleveland on Frontier Airlines flight 1143. The flight had 132 passengers on-board and health officials are trying to reach all passengers to monitor their health conditions for Ebola prevention. According to national CDC (Center for Disease Control) this effort would help and preventing any possible Ebola diagnostic virus symptoms.

The state legislators are in the process renaming Marin County's Waldo tunnel to Robin Williams tunnel, if everything goes well with proposed legislation by state Assemblyman Marc Levine, D-San Rafael. The name changing proposal legislation will be part of the process during next legislative session in December, because that's when the next session begins and it appears that state legislators will support.

The American Airlines departed today at 1:15 PM from San Francisco International Airport turns back for an emergency landing, due to detached parts within passenger's cabin from the airplane cabin walls. The airplane flight 2293 carried 184 passengers and 6 crew members going to Dallas Fort Worth, and the unexpected emergency landing was successful without injuries. This type of airplane landing was declared emergency because it was not scheduled and for safety reasoning for passengers and airline crew members.

A Blue and Gold fleet ferry boat crashed into Pier-41 during this past Sunday evening, and injured 10 passengers with non-life threatening injuries and transported to local hospitals for health care observation. The ferry sustained minor damage with paint and Coast Guard and investigators are looking at what created the accident, and what happened during the accident at that time of the evening. The ferry boat was carrying passengers to Oakland and Richard Rick's wife and nephew were passengers on-board during the accident around 5:48 PM.

A traffic collision on bay bridge westbound highway interstate 80 around 6:45 AM involving a taxi, and two other sedan vehicles injuring the taxi driver and congesting traffic within the Yerba Buena tunnel. An accident on highway 101 before interstate 280 congesting traffic within the peninsula involving a big rig around 7:30 AM, and all bay area transit service agencies are running regular schedules on Columbus Day holiday.

The BART Board of Directors approved $2.5 million for BART extension project "eBART" construction to begin, and expected to open sometime in 2018 for full operational services. The eBART extension project will run a railway line approximately 10 miles from Pittsburg to Antioch, and trains will be different from regular BART trains with a different style. The eBART fleet will have smaller train cars running on environmental clean diesel and not electrical, and people can use the same type of boarding tickets with regular BART to ride eBART trains.

The San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge labor workers union is planning a one-day strike on October 17 for bus drivers, and it may impact commuters from Marin to San Francisco especially working class people. The Golden Gate Bridge workers have a coalition of various union members, and started their one-day strikes on September 16 for machinist workers and September 26 for ferry boat captains. The Golden Gate Bridge Labor Unions Coalition held a news conference in San Francisco yesterday and announced the planning strike for one day.

The San Francisco Bay Area BART transportation was delayed this morning due to safety issues on board the trains, and BART police officers were roaming on trains to ensure safety for passengers. Because a passenger at Richmond BART station reported a man pointing a gun at him, and he appears to board one of the BART trains going towards Oakland. The BART trains were stopped at West Oakland BART station for officers to seek the reported man with a hand gun, and police didn't find the suspected man - trains were back in operational services around 8:21 AM.
