THE SAN FRANCISCO GREAT HIGHWAY CLOSED DUE TO BEACH SAND INTERRUPTIONS
The Great Highway in San Francisco was closed temporarily due to piles of sand blown on the road by high winds, and piling on the roadway on both highway directions up to 3 feet. The Department of Public Works are working on taking care of piles of sand, and removing them on a timely manner to have all roadway directions clear for traffic within evening commute hours.
