SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA PEDESTRIANS/BICYCLES EXPLORATION ON BAY BRIDGE

The San Francisco Bay Area transportation and transit officials are seeking ways and means of support for a pedestrian and bike pathway from Oakland to San Francisco on the bay bridge. The Bay Area Toll Authority committee approved $10 million for the initial process, and looking for more financial support due to increasing cost of the pathway project. The latest project study indicates the developmental project would cost up to $500 million and a consultant have to put together a proposal for the pathway project. Transportation officials are sharing their concerns about increasing cost for the pathway pending project for pedestrians and bicycles.
