Transportation is always gonna be a necessity for people in San Francisco Bay Area especially working class people, commuting everyday for daily work activities including families and children. The latest survey in July 2014 indicates San Francisco is booming with more workers, along with more construction projects and business development; and throughout bay area counties are having more workers as well within their communities. This means more traffic on San Francisco Bay Area freeways and local community streets, and more traffic can become unsafe and unhealthy for all communities.

The high-speed railway for the high-speed train project has been through the legal process since the idea was raised, as a way of transportation going from Los Angeles to San Francisco in a speedy approach for people. A lower branch of the courts system awarded the high-speed railway to begin construction in Central Valley, within Fresno along the county railway projected construction areas.

The northbound highway I-280 was closed over Labor Day holiday weekend and some local residents in San Francisco have to stay home, and limiting their traveling plans for the holiday as a way to stay away from traffic headaches. Caltrans working crew and contracting agency was able to successfully complete their last phase of the seismic retrofitting northbound level, and opened the highway 7 hours earlier than originally planned for commuters early Tuesday morning.

The California state legislators strongly support having appropriate insurance for TNC (Transportation Networking Cars) association cars i.e. Uber, Lyft, etc. protecting passengers, and legislators shared their support by unanimously approving AB2293. Ridesharing TNC cars associations were in Sacramento at the state capitol recently to lobby for opposition on these types of state legislation, and legislators were looking for a "common sense measure" to protect passengers especially families and children.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is raising fares for passengers to ride muni in San Francisco, effective Monday on Labor Day and thereafter, for commuters taking muni transportation to work and other activities in San Francisco. Muni fares have not increased since 2009 and will continue to change for improvement depending on consumer price index formula, and people have to be aware of these changes and prepare to pay more if you commute on muni transportation.

The BART Board of Directors officially approved funding for a contracting agency regarding the BART Watch app implementation process, and development for BART passengers to report criminal activities happening on BART transit and locations. The app will help BART police with ways and means of support for prevention and safety for passengers, and protection of government properties from criminals and people with bad behaviors.

Transportation for travelers and commuters in San Francisco Bay Area will be highly congested with traffic over labor day weekend, if people are planning to use highways I-280 and I-80 for traveling within the bay area. As labor day approaches quickly, people planing for labor day activities with traveling plans in place, and they may want to rethink about traveling options, because both of these freeways I-280 and I-80 will be closed at times.

The state Caltrans have started installing freeway signs for drivers visualization of directions, and these signs started going into place as of August 26, 2014 and possibly ending sometime in October 2014. This effort will impact I-80 freeway commute in Alameda County and Contra Costa County, and CHP (California Highway Patrol) is highly encouraging drivers to drive carefully, with awareness of what's happening on freeways while Caltrans workers are installing these highway signs.

Transportation is an essential need for people as a necessity, along with safety and healthy means of support for all traveling passengers especially our friends, families, and children. As ridesharing cars continue their tactical fight over passengers and technically using their "tactics" to prevent passengers, from using the other ridesharing cars within their own network, some people are saying; passenger's safety and healthy reasoning should be part of their network conversation.

The recent Napa earthquake damaged roadways and freeways within Napa County, although they were open for drivers and their cars to commute, and commuting traffic was slow on Monday and Tuesday in northern San Francisco Bay Area. Drivers were encouraged by CHP (California Highway Patrol) to drive careful as well as watching and report any other road damages, and Caltran will work closely with local agencies for roadway repairs including bridges and infrastructure.
