The San Francisco Bay Area elections official results are in for most local cities and counties, and BART Transportation Administration is welcoming a newly elected board member Nick Josefowitz. He is surprisingly happy about his underdog victory, and looking for improvement within the BART transportation system. He is a Clean Energy Entrepreneur type of person that will possibly influence decisions, within BART on his skillful background pertaining to public transportation.

Earlier this morning a person jogging down the street in San Francisco was hit by a Golden Gate Transit bus, and transported to San Francisco General Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The incident was reported around 6:17 AM Thursday morning and police department is undergoing an investigation, and Golden Gate Transit agency is doing their own investigation as well. Passengers on the transit bus were not injured and were shaken by the accident occurrence, and transit agency is fully cooperating with police department's investigation.

The Emirate Airlines will begin flying luxury services to San Francisco International Airport during December next month, and airline services will include onboard restaurant, relaxation areas, bars, beauty salons, and showers during the flight. The airline A380 luxury jet will be a double deck style designed for passengers to enjoy their flight including an art gallery. The cost of a long term flight can be more that $10,000 with enjoyment of all flight amenities as well as meals in a restaurant onboard setting.

The voters in San Francisco and Alameda counties have shared their support for transportation in San Francisco Bay Area, including streets improvement and transit as well as BART transportation system infrastructure. Voters approved local measures for improvement funding to support transit and bicycle lanes when necessary, including ongoing maintenance for facilities at metro stations for health and safety reasoning.

The drivers clogging traffic at street intersections in San Francisco may be issued traffic tickets, because it really creates traffic problems during commuter hours and enforcement is the key of resolving this matter. Local legislators and San Francisco MTA (Municipal Transportation Agency) are supportive of this enforcement approach to resolve traffic issues in the city. Pedestrian fatalities have been increasing and raising safety issues for people, and local residents are supportive of this approach as well for safety reasoning.

The San Francisco Bay Area commuters using transit systems for transportation especially working-class people, and people have been using clipper cards for traveling fare payments on BART, transit buses, and Caltrans. Fortunately, the same clipper cards can now be used for fare payment fees within Napa and Solano Counties, for local or express traveling and passengers using clipper cards will have a discount.

We posted last week about the joyful space tour rides for people using SpaceShipTwo rocket and this possibility has been set back due to the prototype rocket explosion. The Virgin Galactic rocket explosion is under investigation and what caused it, leading into death of one pilot with another pilot in serious injury conditions last Friday during testing flights. Federal investigators of NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) is spearheading this investigation and nothing has been determined yet, and it appears a device was automatically deployed during the aircraft testing flight.

Travelers to SFO (San Francisco International Airport) has been showing increase and United Airlines offered a traveling package called Economy Plus, and other airlines joined in to offer the same approach with extra charges. A new approach called Economy Minus is in the talking points process at this time, and a major airline may take a lead in this effort, providing less legrooms for passengers without reclining seats with less fees.

The bicyclist movement has come long ways to help save our environment and providing healthy standardized ways of commuting to and from work especially for working class people. The San Francisco Bay Area Bike Share program has been running for more than a year and completed it's visualization competition under MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) sponsorship. It was hoping to get some revenue assistance from FTA (Federal Transportation Administration) through NACTO (National Association of City Transportation Officials) with support for local bicycle coalition programs.

People started hearing about space tourism in this new millennial century and many were interested in booking their tourism journeys in space, and SpaceShipTwo rocket was in the process of planning and development for future space tours. Branson Virgin Group owns Virgin Galactic developing the prototype passenger rocket for customers traveling into space for tours, and passengers will have to pay $250,000 a seat for the space journey tours.
