The SFCTA (San Francisco County Transportation Authority) completed a recent study about traffic congestion in San Francisco and findings are showing less traffic in current years. The study also shows less cars are now at street intersections during commuting hours, and car speeding is showing increase in moderation levels. Some people are saying that's not possible with all these cars blocking city streets, endangering pedestrians safety and other cars.

The San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge is undergoing new development and pending to close for a Moveable Median Barrier project. It will close January 9, 2015 to January 12, 2015 for the project development to ensure traffic safety and efficiency on the iconic bridge for travelers. The options are Golden Gate Transit, Golden Gate Ferry, and use other bay bridges to cross the bay by personal cars or BART transportation. The east sidewalk section will remain open for pedestrians and bicycles to use during the closure phase of the landmark bridge.

Some of developmental transportation projects in San Francisco Bay Area are moving forward, including ways to support and save our natural environment in the process. The Caltrain transportation system is recruiting for members of a bicycle advisory committee and inviting public representatives to become volunteers on the committee. The advisory committee will serve San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara counties within regional areas, and committee will work closely with Caltrain for services improvement and other relevant matters.

The San Francisco Bay Area transportation and transit officials are seeking ways and means of support for a pedestrian and bike pathway from Oakland to San Francisco on the bay bridge. The Bay Area Toll Authority committee approved $10 million for the initial process, and looking for more financial support due to increasing cost of the pathway project. The latest project study indicates the developmental project would cost up to $500 million and a consultant have to put together a proposal for the pathway project.

The San Francisco Bay Area bike share program is looking to expand with possible support from MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) for funding assistance. Other financial support may come from new investment ventures along with fitness, real estate companies, and private investors for the Bike Share Program expansion in eastern San Francisco Bay Area. Bay Area Air Quality Management District administers the program and MTC approved $8.7 million for the program expansion in Oakland, Berkeley, and Emeryville.

The Caltrain Transportation in San Francisco Bay Area is undergoing an electrifying developmental process, and additional cost will increase to 17% more than anticipated to modernize the system saving our environment. The electric modernizing project will take up more time and possibly open for a full operational system during 2021, and the Caltrain system is govern by San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara counties by a joint agreement.

The recent election results provide more support for San Francisco Bay Area freeways and roadways in San Francisco and Alameda Counties including muni services improvement. Propositions A and B in San Francisco and Measure BB in Alameda County was approved by voters to provide funding for transportation improvement including the infrastructure. Including more ways to provide healthy and safety BART and transit transportation system for passengers, as well as fixing pot holes on roadways and maintenance when necessary for commuters.

The progressive BART transportation going from Oakland Coliseum location to Oakland International Airport is pending to starting transporting passengers during Thanksgiving holiday. BART trains will start operational runs at every 10-20 minutes apart, and helping ease the traffic congestion on freeways and roadways within the airport region. The fares to ride the extension BART trains will vary depending on pickup and dropoff locations for passengers, and the opening ceremony is scheduled for November 21, 2014 for celebration!

The working progress of San Francisco Transbay Transit Center has been progressively moving forward, and it reaches the ground level for more construction development to successfully finish the project. Transbay officials and local leaders were hoisting a steel beam for the center structural assembly, and it's a milestone for the project to finally reach top of the ground level. People are now visualizing the transit center development at ground level, and completed project is pending to open during 2017 with retail stores, restaurants, etc.

The San Francisco Bay Area elections official results are in for most local cities and counties, and BART Transportation Administration is welcoming a newly elected board member Nick Josefowitz. He is surprisingly happy about his underdog victory, and looking for improvement within the BART transportation system. He is a Clean Energy Entrepreneur type of person that will possibly influence decisions, within BART on his skillful background pertaining to public transportation.
