E-CIGARETTES OFFICIALLY BANNED FROM BART IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The regulated ordinance to ban e-cigarettes from BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) was finally approved by BART Board of Directors during their meeting yesterday. It means that e-cigarette smoking are officially banned at BART locations and on BART trains, and regular smoking cigarettes have already been banned the same way. BART police will enforce the ordinance to ensure compliance for commuters, and fines will be issued at $100 for first-time offenders and $200 for repeating offenders. The California Department of Public Health along with medical experts nationwide identified e-cigarette smoking a threat to public health, ensuring people are living healthy in state environmental local communities with families and children.

The district concern is about harming passengers from secondhand smoking vapors by exposure from people using e-cigarettes for smoking," said Ben Fairow, BART Deputy Police Chief. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
