A planning initiative has been provided for San Francisco County Transportation Authority as a proposal for the board awareness. The transbay tunnel experimental study phase is due to high level of ridership on BART and raising awareness of ways to save our environment. The transbay initiative plan will operate from San Francisco Richmond District to go across the bay tunnel within several undetermined locations.

When California and San Francisco Bay Area needs rain more then ever, it came down heavily at times, creating more commuting problems on roadways and freeways on Tuesday morning. The rainy day and bad weather conditions created flight delays and other problems within San Francisco, including the legendary cable car shutdown due to heavy rain impacting the tracking system. The national and local weather agencies issued rain conditions awareness for people, to make preparation with sandbags for possible hazardous and flooding conditions in San Francisco Bay Area.

The Caltrain transportation system in San Francisco Bay Area is undergoing an electrification process for all railway trains serving the bay area. The Caltrain Board of Directors are in the process of approving 15 million for upgrading the system, and purchasing diesel train cars and upgrade them with an electrification system. The Caltrain upgrades must have enough space for bicycles because the bicycle advocates wants that for their bicycles.

The new bay bridge in San Francisco Bay Area has been operating well so far with minor challenges including corrective actions, and the old bay bridge will be demolished with procedures are in the planning process. The demolition process will have some challenges due to costing allocations to demolish the old bay bridge, because the new bridge is well over the initial allocated budget for development.

A study for the iconic Golden Gate Bridge toll for the sidewalk and bicycle pathway was recently approved by the board, and showing opposition by some state legislators because it's sending a wrong message. Some local San Francisco residents are saying that historical bridge sidewalk for people to walk across the bridge should be free without cost. People should be able to walk and ride a bicycle across the iconic bridge without paying for it because it's healthy and enjoying life across the bridge.

Traveling to San Francisco for the holiday season can be a headache at airports including SFO (San Francisco International Airport), especially when passengers are traveling through a snowstorm in the east coast causing flight delays. Passengers traveling to SFO for the holidays are sometime stressful due to flight delays and traveling to their final destination. Some of northeastern states are going through rainy days through Thanksgiving and some gearing up for snowstorm and delaying airline flights, including Washington DC and New York geographical areas for travelers.

The ridership on public transportation shows increase on San Francisco BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) and other means of transportation. The AC Transit services are making necessary changes to accommodate ongoing increase in public transportation ridership. The services improvement for AC Transit in partnership with BART will take affect on December 7, 2014 with enhanced all night services, and increase number of operating hours for transit services due to increase ridership.

The muni system in San Francisco is always looking for improvement projects for passengers, and MTA (Municipal Transportation Agency) board recently approved $6.6 million for Haight and Noriega muni line improvements. The project will eliminate a number of muni stops along the way and improving traveling time for muni buses along Haight and Noriega streets. It also aligns with the city Vision Zero policies of improving pedestrian safety and avoiding fatalities within 10 years.

Transportation in San Francisco Bay Area is getting harder with traffic congestion, and progressive projects are in place avoiding these traffic matters. Market street areas are marked in red in San Francisco to make it easier for commuting drivers to identify street lanes for muni and public transportation only, to avoid lapse timing for muni traveling time to pickup local passengers. It cost the city $1.8 million for the street project upgrade to avoid downtown traffic congestion and helping muni with traveling time.

The working class people in San Francisco Bay Area commutes with their personal cars and it can become dangerous when personal cars are not safe for traveling. In fact, the federal government transportation officials are highly demanding auto industries to recall all cars with infected air bags made by Takata Corp. of Japan to ensure passengers are safe. The NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) made the announcement this week and making sure auto industries are following through with recalls.
