The Hawaiian Airlines flight 47 was returned back to Oakland Airport after departure this morning due to undisclosed aircraft maintenance issues onboard. The airlines flight had 229 passengers plus crew members with luggage and other elements onboard, departing from Oakland Airport to Honolulu around 9:30 AM Pacific Time. The flight was safely redirected back to Oakland Airport by the pilot because of fuel consumption levels over the Pacific Ocean.

The iconic Alcatraz Prison landmark in San Francisco needs ferry services for tourists and working people on the rock, and undergoing non-settlement negotiations regarding location for ferry services due to contractual uncertainties. Because National Park Services is not able to reach an agreement with the Port of San Francisco, they may move ferry services to Fort Mason and San Francisco Marina District residents are not happy.

The drivers for Apple shuttling companies will get 25% hourly increase after negotiations including working conditional improvements. The shuttle drivers for Apple recently became Teamsters Union members and started negotiating for better wages and working conditions. The pay raise will not take affect until the contract is signed and approved by both parties involved. Apple shuttles are contracted by Compass Transportation Royal Coach Tours for Apple employees to travel within their working activities.

The Highway I-80 Corridor Project development has been progressively moving forward after groundbreaking in 2011, and Caltrans starting to put signs along the freeway during 2014. The developmental project should be completed sometime in the middle of 2015 and celebrating new iconic overhead signs will begin - that's living in the new millennium within San Francisco Bay Area! The electronic signs will provide variable messages for freeway drivers regarding traffic, real-time speeding limits, accidents, etc. including ramp meters to provide drivers with safety measures.

The City of Sunnyvale council members approved their opposition efforts regarding VTA's proposal of having two bus lanes on El Camino Real in southern San Francisco Bay Area. VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) proposes to develop lanes only for VTA buses on a roadway that is controlled by Caltrans. Sunnyvale joins Palo Alto, Mountain View, and other southern bay area cities to oppose VTA's proposal during the procedural process. VTA issued a proposal for two lanes only for VTA buses to avoid traffic congestion on El Camino Real.

The SFMTA board approved the improvement plan for pedestrians and bicyclists on Polk Street in San Francisco, and alignment with Vision Zero plans avoiding anymore bicyclist and pedestrian fatalities. The final SFMTA (San Francisco Metropolitan Transportation Agency) board approval on Tuesday provides a threshold for pedestrians and bicyclist riders for safety in the city. A greater number of people participated and showing support for pedestrians and bicyclists, and shared how it could safe to ride a bike in San Francisco with identified plan on Polk Street.

Public hearings for AC transit services improvement have been in place from last month throughout the month of March 2015. After AC Transit hearings from the public experience and feedback on transit services, transit services will make changes for improvement starting Sunday, March 15, 2015. The changes in transit services is to make it accessible for people during weekend activities, either shopping, going to the park, movies, and other places. The transit line 72R will operate on Saturdays and Sundays as well as weekdays to help people traveling from Richmond to Oakland.

The roads in San Jose needs necessary repairs due to a recent audit report because of many potholes, and damaging people's cars in Silicon Valley especially working class people during commuting hours. An independent audit report indicates that during past few years 38% of local roads in San Jose will be marked poorly for drivers to use. The roadway potholes and cracks need repair attention quickly to avoid more tax payer monies going to waste and not using it appropriately as a preventative approach.

Menlo Park Councilman Ray Mueller and the city mayor held a community meeting discussion yesterday evening regarding the death of a recent driver on Caltrans railway tracks in the City of Menlo Park. Local residents, neighbors, workers, and community leaders participated in the meeting and shared some ideas of how to avoid these types of accidents. The city mayor opens the community meeting with appreciation of everyone showing their support to prevent these types of fatality accidental situations with a moment of silence.

The traffic congestion in southern San Francisco Bay Area is creating more concerns within cities along El Camino Real roadway because VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) is proposing lanes for buses only. The cities of Palo Alto and Mountain View with other cities are opposing the proposal by VTA to assign two lanes for buses only along El Camino Real. Some Palo Alto residents are saying, traffic congestion along El Camino Real is getting worse everyday at Charleston and Embarcadero Road, and assigning two lanes for VTA buses only will make it worse for drivers and pedestrians.
