A lawsuit has been filed against Caltrain by Town of Atherton regarding a plan to electrify the train system, and endangering environmental trees with dangerous configurations at the community train station. Caltrain claims the trains will be faster and efficient for passengers, and helping people increase ridership and reduction of air pollution. The town representing attorney filed the lawsuit alleging the Caltrain electrification system will allow trains to go faster and pedestrians will be in danger.

The upgrading repairs for highways and roadways within the State of California and San Francisco Bay Area is needed, and state repair funding is decreasing quickly than anticipated and seeking for new revenues. The reports indicate funding from gasoline taxes for repairing state roadways have been lowering, and California legislators are searching for revenues to help with highways and roadways repair. Including a way to change the state transportation system and/or possibility of drivers to pay taxes for the amount of miles they travel on the road.
