The transportation traffic in San Francisco Bay Area is getting worse everyday for commuters on highways and roadways especially working class people. The local highways in San Francisco Bay Area with carpool lanes are not complying with federal standards. The flow of traffic on highway carpool lanes should flow at 45 miles per hour at 90% during operational vehicles on freeways at certain amount of hours. Some transportation officials are looking at traffic congestion developing at carpool lanes may need possible changes.

The Chrysler Motors are recalling 1.4 million Fiat Chrysler Jeep cars in San Francisco Bay Area and nationwide. These vehicles are claimed to be hacked and driven without actual people driving the Jeep vehicles, and hackers are taking control of vehicles on the internet. The recall impacts vehicles from 2013 to 2015 and Chrysler Motors is looking at installing a software to avoid online remote controls. The updated software will also provide networking security measures preventing remote controls by hackers.

Transportation in San Francisco Bay Area has come along in many ways for improvement and protecting our natural environment by sharing roadways with bicyclists. The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition is spearheading efforts to spread bicycle stations throughout eastern bay area cities, and educating bicyclists about laws for consistency and protection. The San Francisco Police Department is also cracking down and looking out for bicyclist violators, because some bicyclists are breaking laws and creating accidents in the city.

The Muni Transit system is a main public transportation for residents and working class people in San Francisco including families and children. SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is shutting down Market Street Subway and Twin Peaks Tunnel for updated transportation repairs. The plan is to shut down effectively on Friday, July 31, 2015 for approximately 6 months during the subway repairs. Repairing work includes installation of a new digital systems, blue lights, and replacing old analog system in the subway.

Our natural environmental feeling at Muir Woods National Park in Mill Valley, California in San Francisco Bay Area provides people with a monumental landmark of nature's beauty. However, parking fees for people visiting Muir Woods will increase to hopefully ease traffic congestion within the beautiful eye-view of nature's creation. Muir Woods was given to federal government to provide care and security for visitors, and some parking along the park roadways will be eliminated.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) in San Francisco Bay Area is shutting down for repairs and system upgrade for passengers. Transportation in the bay area is essentially critical for people traveling for business or pleasure especially working class people including families and children. BART transportation system is in the process of shutting down transbay tube services on August 1st and 2nd, September 5th, 6th, and 7th 2015.

The traffic congestion and driving in San Francisco during commuting hours can be awful for drivers as well as local city residents. One local city resident said, "I used to drive and now I rather take public transportation because driving my car is making me sick and stress." The Muni transportation system in San Francisco is becoming crowded and trying to run on a timely schedule. The City-By-The-Bay is ranked as 4th worst city to drive within the nation because of traffic congestion including ongoing construction based on latest survey.

The public transportation appears to be moving forward with improvement and expansion projects as necessary because of increasing ridership. That's exactly what AC Transit (Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District) is planning to expand services including routes and schedules for efficiency. This expansion project is called Service Expansion Plan (SEP) in which was initially reviewed during the beginning of this year.

The STA (Solano Transportation Authority) is seeking public input regarding transportation for Solano County in San Francisco Bay Area. The STA officials are planning for year 2040 ahead of time and created an online survey to reach people for public transportation remarks. The update transportation survey is for the planning efforts called "Solano 2040" and providing public input for a shared decision making process. A transportation plan will become part of a report submitted to MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) for the overall Plan Bay Area project.

We posted previously about the alarming suicide rate for Palo Alto teens and needs prevention in place accordingly for families and friends. It's now official that thermal camera systems will become part of the teen suicide prevention approach to help with community families and friends. The City of Palo Alto and Caltrain are working closely together to secure cameras and install them at Caltrain crossing tracks within city limits. The camera system will detect a human crossing the tracks and send a signal to 911, and it will scan a distance within miles of each tracking direction.
