Commuting traffic congestion in San Francisco Bay Area has become more unhealthy and unsafe for passengers and drivers especially working class people. Contra Costa County in California is installing new express lanes that will direct traffic along Benicia Bridge to San Ramon and saving commuting time. Installation and construction project will take place during weekdays from 8 PM to 5 AM on Highway I-680, and express lanes will eventually completed going both directions.

Ongoing transportation problems along with traffic congestion in San Francisco Bay Area is taking a hardship turn on working class people. The Silicon Valley Leadership Group and northern California transportation activists are planning for a ballot measure on November 2016 elections. The goal is to secure necessary funding from people to help with transportation problems on highways and roadways including assistance for transit improvement projects.

The San Francisco Bay Area ways and means of protecting our natural environment regarding transportation is spreading to southern California in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles City Council approved a bicycle plan yesterday to revitalize previous efforts of making Los Angeles a more bicycle friendly city. The developmental policy plan is called "Mobility Plan 2035" to add more bicycle and transit bus lanes for people. Including other roadway redesigns to avoid pedestrian and car collision fatalities within 20 years, and keeping vehicle traffic speed limits under control.

The City of Fremont in California is undergoing developmental plans to upgrade downtown including principles of having green transportation for working class people. The city jurisdictional location is split between two different municipal counties, and thanks to Measure BB approval in Alameda County for transportation funding assistance. The Tesla Motors are in Fremont and city encourages people towards EV transportation and also towards EV car ownership, as well as higher usage of public transportation when necessary.

Phillips 66 is proposing transporting oil to a San Luis Obispo station with a possible contract for 500 trips a year, and San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors have to approve it before it happens. If everything goes well as proposed by Phillips 66 as planned, oil trains may be coming through local cities in San Francisco Bay Area. Transporting oil trains will possibly use Amtrak's corridor train tracking lines endangering our local environment including families and children.

The transportation system in State of California including San Francisco Bay Area needs assistance from federal funding allocation. The state and local political leaders in San Francisco Bay Area are trying to work with federal legislators to secure essential transportation funds. Unfortunately, U.S. Congressional major leadership is delaying the process of releasing federal funding for California transportation. This delay will not only approve funding for a short period of time and furthering discussions within the month of October during next sessions.

The Outside Land Music Festival in San Francisco Golden Gate Park is happening this weekend, and many neighbors are concerned about ongoing traffic problems. This annual event brings many people to San Francisco who likes music and arts during the festival, and also brings traffic congestion problems within neighboring communities.

As we posted recently about transportation is a "necessity" in San Francisco Bay Area and essentially becoming more critical in ways to resolve traffic congestion on our roadways. Loop Transportation and SFO Shuttle companies announced last week their acquisition partnership with Hallcon Corporation. This partnership will enhance shuttle transportation services for employees beyond the bay area, and reaching throughout the country for services as necessary.

The new Doyle Drive in San Francisco has been under construction after closing for 71 hours and reopened for vehicle traffic 8 hours earlier than expected. The historical new transformed Doyle Drive is named after the father of Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco - Mr. Frank Doyle. Although roadways are now open for traffic, there is still more construction work to be done and construction crews are working within last phase of the project. Construction teams will install barrier rails, strip and build retaining walls between northbound and southbound roadways until middle of 2016.

The asbestos elements can be very dangerous for passenger's health when riding BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) transportation in San Francisco Bay Area. The BART trains were manufactured through Washington Metro systems and may contain asbestos as reported by media outlets in Washington D.C. regarding rail trains. The President of Environmental Working Group, Ken Cook, who lives in San Francisco Bay Area and rides BART, calls for an inspection of BART trains after health alarming reports regarding asbestos.
