As transportation funding for state roadways and highways continue to decrease for improvement projects throughout the State of California, Caltrans have issued traffic advisory for more road closures because of roadway projects. The state routing roadway 128 within Sonoma County is scheduled to close today at 11 PM - 5 AM until Thursday, for a retaining wall project and will close again on Sunday, August 30 to Thursday, September 3. No work is scheduled over Labor Day holiday weekend and scheduled to close again on Tuesday, September 8 to Thursday, September 10, 2015.

Vehicular traffic in San Francisco Bay Area continues to get worse, and upgrading metering lights at Bay Bridge maybe part of the solution. The California Governor Jerry Brown and State Assembly Speaker Tonie Atkins attended a news conference in Oakland on Wednesday, and talked about state transportation fixtures including highways and roadway repairs.

The San Francisco District Attorney is working closely with Los Angeles District Attorney, California, to ensure passengers are safe using Uber and other ridesharing cars. Transporting kids to and from local schools can become a challenge for parents and school administration for San Francisco Bay Area. Some local schools in San Francisco Bay Area are back in session yesterday on Monday, and some schools are looking at "safety for kids" as number one priority. San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) is working closely with local agencies to ensure school kids are safe, and hired more crossing guards personnel to assist kids while crossing streets.

Many passengers at SFO were upset about their flight delays and especially passengers going back to school from summer vacations. Flight delays and cancellations from the East and North Eastern airports into SFO (San Francisco International Airport) was because of a computer glitch at air traffic control center in Leesburg, Virginia. Many passengers tweeted and sent Facebook messages to contact people regarding their delays and cancellations at SFO.

Transportation projects in San Francisco Bay Area and throughout the State of California needs funding from state and federal allocations to finish ongoing improvement projects. The State of California legislators are back in session this week and looking at possible tax increases, for state funding to help finish transportation projects throughout the state. The federal funding for assistance is delayed and will not be part of any discussions sooner until October, including state funding delays for transportation projects as necessary.

Cities in San Francisco Bay Area are looking for resolutions to assist with local traffic congestion nightmares as it gets worse everyday. The City of Menlo Park is undergoing developmental plans for a local hotel nearby Facebook Headquarters including office buildings as part of the gateway project. The surrounding roadway streets will be reconstructed to not include street parking for cars in the area, and Menlo Park Bicycle Commission was thrilled with the decision.

Because of delays from state and federal funding for local regional transportation projects in San Francisco Bay Area, City of Palo Alto is leading local cities to join advocacy efforts for transportation improvement projects. Palo Alto is within northern Santa Clara County jurisdictions, and city leaders will engage public interest into another tax measure for transportation projects. A discussion for city transit projects will be part of the council meeting on Monday, and a report will be provided for Santa Clara County VTA (Valley Transportation Authority).
