The new millennium types of cars are on roadways in Mountain View - talking about Google self-driving cars after years of study and research of such vehicles. Suburban street neighbors and residents in Mountain View are having the first eye-view of Google self-driving cars during street testing this week. The testing model types of these cartoon look alike cars are two passenger seats, driving up to 25 miles per hour around Google Headquarters and neighboring streets in Mountain View.

The latest transportation road reports within San Francisco Bay Area identifies the roadway conditions for local regional cities. MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) reports indicate few northern bay area cities have the worst roadway conditions and few cities have the best road for commuting drivers awareness. Some drivers appreciate this type of information during their commuting time on bay area roads for car maintenance. Petaluma, St. Helena and Larkspur have the worst roadway conditions and Dublin, Brentwood, and El Cerrito are listed as having the best road conditions.

The San Francisco Bay Area Plan 2040 is already in the procedural process and has additional aspects for consideration during the process. The MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) and ABAG (Association of Bay Area Governments) have been spearheading public meetings to hear from people directly for the future plan. During public hearings the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge has become an addition for improvement within the plan, therefore, MTC and ABAG wants to hear from people directly.

The deaths on El Camino Real roadway along Peninsula regional area in San Francisco Bay Area has been rapidly increasing within a short period of time. The Town of Atherton administrators are meeting with Caltrans for discussions on having a traffic light to hopefully prevent deaths on El Camino Real roadway. A person was killed recently along this roadway in Atherton, including a person killed after being hit by a Recology Garbage truck over this past weekend in San Carlos.

The Caltrain serving San Francisco Bay Area plans to electrify its train cars and needs an environmental report during the procedural process. This transportation necessity within the bay area has been going through many challenges including lawsuits regarding involved elements during developmental process. One of these elements involve an EIR (Environmental Impact Report) to see how the project impacts our natural environment.

The airline travelers may have to carry-on baggage that fits within airlines traveling codes and regulations in San Francisco Bay Area and nationwide. IATA (International Air Transport Association) announced last Tuesday new discussions about resizing carry-on baggage for airline travelers. Some airline travelers are opposing this IATA approach because trying to turn carry-on baggage to smaller sizes would be unfair. Because many travelers use carry-on baggage for additional space for traveling items and may not have space in a regular traveling luggage.

The new Hainan Airlines flight from Beijing to San Jose International Airport was with a welcoming celebratory activity by San Jose Firefighters. The airline flight was a direct flight from Beijing to Silicon Valley and successfully landed at San Jose International Airport. During the successful flight arrival San Jose Firefighters sprayed water onto the airline plane inaugurating the new flight to San Jose as it rolls into the gate. Some people are not feeling good about the celebrating mood with the new airline spending water that people needs in the sate.

A party bus transporting passengers to Antioch was put on hold after police were contacted because passengers were damaging shelves inside a Safeway store. The store was ambushed by passengers around 11:45 PM over the weekend on Saturday and Antioch police department was called for assistance. The police officers arrested 12 passengers because of unruly behaviors inside Safeway store including 5 hidden handguns inside the vehicle. The driver said the vehicle door was locked for safety reasons and not knowing what is happening outside the vehicle.

The San Francisco Bay Area historical bay bridge has completed Phase-One of its demolition process and will soon move to Phase-Two demolishing eastern span. The Caltrans State Transportation agency has marked this a milestone effort in the process as demolition crews completed it on Thursday. It takes a comprehensive way of demolishing the structure in every pieces carefully because of safety issues since the bridge was developed in 1936. The demolition crew have to balance themselves carefully including tools during the process for efficiency in a timely manner.

The redevelopment process and repairs for Doyle Drive in San Francisco has been rescheduled due to other developmental elements. The progressive construction for Doyle Drive continues and pending for closure on July 9 - 13, 2015 and reopen on Monday, July 13th at 5 AM if everything goes well as planned. The Doyle Drive Replacement Project is a partnership of California Department of Transportation with local agencies bringing jobs to local residents.
