SPEED REDUCTION FOR CARS IN SAN FRANCISCO AS A PREVENTATIVE METHOD
The Vision Zero approach of avoiding future pedestrian fatalities and saving people in San Francisco, comes with a method of reducing speed for cars on city streets and building a safety net for pedestrians. San Francisco city reports indicate more than 21% of drivers within San Francisco are speeding, and averaging 27 to 33 mile per hour on commercial and/or residential city streets. The city officials are looking at reducing some city speeding limits for traffic safety and saving pedestrians, and Neighborhood Services and Safety Committee will have a public hearing.
