Many transportation variables in San Francisco Bay Area can become challenging, and Marin County is looking at experimenting a car share program for Canal neighborhood residents. MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) is offering financial support for this program for a year and depending on the need for services. The services need is greater based on the report and a project plan can be underway sometimes in 2017, and part of the plan is considering to use environmental vehicles to reduce greenhouse gases.

The traffic is not only creating problems for commuters on freeways and roadways, but also creating problems for firefighters when trying to arrive at emergency situations within San Francisco Bay Area. A recent residential fire in East Palo Alto was in flame with major damages, and firefighters were not able to arrive on scene on a timely manner due to traffic. The firefighters and other emergency vehicles have their sirens and emergency lights on sending a message for drivers to pull-off the roadway due to an emergency.

Muni transportation services in San Francisco has been going through many changes for improvement and passengers would like to have bicycles on muni. The San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee and his administration announced new muni trains will be added to the current fleet and new trains are designed to have bicycles onboard. The process of new muni trains should be completed and have them in operation by 2016 and bicycles can be one of the improvement aspect of new trains.

Air travelers in San Francisco Bay Area for business or personal is booming for SFO (San Francisco International Airport) and OAK (Oakland International Airport) is offering free parking for customers. Free parking applies for travelers to Texas, Hawaii, and Europe with hopes on luring passengers to use OAK and not SFO during flight plans for traveling. Is this part of the local airport business competition ..... "because it all comes down to "quality services" for passengers and minimizing any stressful situation at airports," said one local bay area traveler.

Transit services in San Francisco Bay Area have been showing increase for commuters on BART, Caltrain, etc. especially working class people commuting within the bay area. The MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) is looking for ways to improve services, and asking the public for their input on clipper card services improvement process. Approximately 1.4 million clipper cards are in use by commuters to pay for their transit ridership fees and making it easier for passengers during their transportation activities.

The MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) released an updated report identifying San Francisco Bay Area traffic is getting worse, and showing 65% traffic increase since 2009 and making it worse traffic congestion in 15 years. MTC commissioners are hoping the report will encourage employers with ways to make it work for their employees, and hopefully with scheduling changes to make it less people on the freeways going to work. Because building more freeways and widening current freeways, and other roadways can be more unrealistic with supportive developmental elements.

Honda Motors have been fined $70 million by NHTSA (National Highway Transportation Safety Administration) for not reporting traffic accidents and injuries for the government. Including deaths and injuries of fatal accidents on freeways and roadways within San Francisco Bay Area and nationwide.

Several passengers recently arrived at SFO (San Francisco International Airport) from the Middle East after they have been in the plane for 28 hours international flight, and have been sitting in the airplane at a Middle East Airport for 12 hours on the airport tarmac. This created anger for flight passengers and crew members including no food or drinking water for relief, and flight attendants keep telling passengers the airplane is departing.
