The WETA (Water Emergency Transportation Authority) ferry services in West Bay will have temporary lower fares effective Thursday, January 1, 2021. The WETA Board of Directors approved therein proposal of lowering ferry fees for commuting passengers starting next fiscal year. It's part of the WETA Pandemic Recovery Program to help returning ferry riders and attracting new riders with diversified ridership schedules with amenities. The transit agency's lower fares will be in effect for one year as a temporary promotional approach to attract more ferry riders.

The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District) transit services agency in East Bay is reactivating school routes effective Monday, April 19, 2021. The AC Transit 600 bus line routes for schools will operate to help some local schools reopening for in-person student instructions. The transit agency has been working closely with school districts and reactivating 600 series of bus lines to help transport classroom students. The AC Transit supplementary school bus lines routing service was suspended because of therein COVID-19 pandemic and adherence to SIP (Shelter In Place) state orders.
