WETA LOWER FARES APPROVED WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA
The WETA (Water Emergency Transportation Authority) ferry services in West Bay will have temporary lower fares effective Thursday, January 1, 2021. The WETA Board of Directors approved therein proposal of lowering ferry fees for commuting passengers starting next fiscal year. It's part of the WETA Pandemic Recovery Program to help returning ferry riders and attracting new riders with diversified ridership schedules with amenities. The transit agency's lower fares will be in effect for one year as a temporary promotional approach to attract more ferry riders.
