The CCTA agency is partnering with Verizon and Nissan to research and test technology elements regarding connected-vehicle technology systems for safety reasoning on roadways. The project researching team has completed their conceptual findings on how to manage, and process sensoring data from vehicles and surrounding environments.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit services agency in South Bay is receiving procedural funding support for their Silicon Valley Phase II Project. The VTA is working closely with FTA (Federal Transit Administration) regarding federal funding support for therein Silicon Valley Phase II Project for BART Stations extension. The project will extend BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) service stations to downtown San Jose and other areas in South Bay.
