The SCCRTC new pilot project will use goats to control vegetation at therein SCBRL (Santa Cruz Branch Rail Line) property and three other locations countywide. The VTA transit agency have five electric buses and $4.7 million funding award from California Energy Commission will help secure more electric buses in South Bay. The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) services agency in San Francisco Bay Area supports therein Bay Adapt Joint Platform to combat high rising sea levels. The identified platform approach is a partnership effort by BCDC (Bay Conservation and Development Commission) and community organizations.
