The MTC is partnering with Air Quality District (Bay Area Air Quality Management District) to fight air pollution in the Bay Area. The identified partnership agencies will work closely together to provide ways and means of support to protect our local environment. The MTC agency has provided funding support to programs for environmental protection, and helping improve air quality in the Bay Area for families and children.

The SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) services agency in North County is sharing their promotional passenger fees until Tuesday, May 31, 2022. The SMART train services agency is working closely with passengers and welcoming them back with promotional fees, and offering 40% price discounts for commuting passengers with new reduced fares. The transit agency is also offering a Weekend Day Pass for services on Saturdays to help traveling passengers, and great promotional package services for families on the weekend.

The SamTrans (San Mateo County Transit District) services agency in West Bay is offering their 2022 Art Takes a Bus Ride contest. The SamTrans annual art contest is a collaboration effort with San Mateo County Office of Education, and San Mateo County Office of Arts and Culture. The 2022 arts contest is open to students from grades 1 to 12 at local schools in San Mateo County, and the due date to submit for therein contest is Friday, February 25, 2022.

The County Connections transit services agency in East Bay is updating their routing services effective Sunday, February 20, 2022. The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) services agency in South Bay held a celebration opening of Express Lanes in northern Santa Clara County. The VTA phase-in Express Lanes project stretches along Highway 101 to San Mateo County at Whipple Avenue, and Express Lanes are open for operation by drivers in both counties. The drivers using thereby Express Lanes will be required to have a working Fastrak account, and Express Lanes regulations will be enforced in the Bay Area.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) services agency in San Francisco Bay Area is launching new service schedules effective Monday, February 14, 2022. The BART agency is trying optional ways to improve transporting services for commuting passengers in the Bay Area, and making better connections with other regional transit agencies. The BART agency new schedules will make it happen and including improvement services for Sundays with extended service to midnight.

The SolTrans (Solano County Transit) services agency in North Bay will operate all express service lines in San Francisco Bay Area. The SolTrans agency is working closely with STA (Solano Transportation Authority) to transition all express service lines under one agency, and SolanoExpress Green Line will start transitioning on Monday, April 4, 2022. The new transitioning phase will bring in new staffing, new fleet vehicles, and new uniforms for driving operators of the Green Line in North Bay.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) transit services in West Bay is developing two capital improvement projects in downtown. The SFMTA two capital improvement projects are happening at 6th Street and Taylor Street to improve pedestrian safety needs. The improvement projects will reconfigure traffic lanes, changes with traffic signals and allowable vehicular turns, and parking with safety loading/unloading zones for commercial vehicles.
