The San Francisco central subway transit project is showing delays for approximately 10 months and local business owners are not happy. The transit project is having a central subway going from San Francisco Chinatown to Union Square, and connecting with BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) and metro muni systems. The project digging underground going into northern areas along with delays because of construction scheduling dispute with contractors. The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) administration is optimistic about therein situational delays.

The MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) staffing released a modified proposal for the draft Plan Bay Area 2040 report, and the final EIR (Environmental Impact Report) for consideration. The assessment report will be considered during the MTC and ABAG (Association of Bay Area Governments) joint meeting on Friday, July 14, 2017. The MTC and ABAG members are scheduled to vote on the final Plan Bay Area 2040 and EIR report during their joint meeting on Wednesday, July 26, 2017.

The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) is investigating a close call flight accident at SFO (San Francisco International Airport) over the weekend. The AC (Air Canada) 759 flight from Toronto flying into landing at SFO and was cleared to land at runway 28R from control tower. The AC759 pilot inadvertently lined up the airplane for taxiway paralleling the runway, and four other airplanes were on therein taxiway waiting for take off. The FAA and AC airlines are investigating the nearly disaster flight accident at SFO, and the sounded emergency alarm may have prevented the accident.

The Transbay Transit Center development in San Francisco is coming along with marketing naming sponsors and Salesforce is sharing their interest. The Salesforce has agreed to a 25 year contract for $110 million sponsorship for therein Transbay Transit Center. The Transbay Transit Center TJPA (Transbay Joint Powers Authority) may consider to approve the Salesforce agreement during the meeting. It means the transit center will be known as Salesforce Transit Center if everything goes well and approved by TJPA.

The Caltrain electrification project is on the move to hear from local communities regarding therein project from San Francisco to San Jose. The train electrification project is part of Caltrain Modernization Program as part of upgrading the system to become more reliable and efficient. The Caltrain program is scheduled to be completed and operational by 2020, and electrification has been part of Caltrain's strategic planning process. The Caltrain commuting railway system will operate effectively with faster services for passengers.

The United Airlines is adding more of its biggest planes for international routing services in SFO (San Francisco International Airport). The airlines adding more Boeing 777-300ER to boost flight services including new flights from SFO to EWR (New York/Newark Airport). It will start international services using the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in August 1, 2017 from SFO to TPE (Taiwan International Airport). The United Airlines initially ordered 14 airplanes during the month of May and delivered 9 at this time for operation.

The Caltrain Board of Directors approved $82.9 million contract for an improvement project in collaboration with the City of San Mateo. The construction contractual amount will be awarded to Shimmick & Disney Joint Venture company for the project to make it happen during the Fall season 2017. The Caltrain improvement project will be for two and a half years with a new elevated Hillsdale Station along with updated amenities. The project effort is to improve safety for passengers and reducing traffic congestion within the regional area.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency is planning to develop streets for improvement projects in Santa Clara County. The VTA improvement project is called Complete Streets Program in partnership with MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) other local agencies to make the project happen. The VTA project goal is making it workable and easier for travelers, and avoiding vehicular traffic congestion on local streets. The VTA planning team wants to hear from local residents for their input, because it's their streets and their community input really counts.

The vehicular traffic and public transit matters in San Francisco Bay Area continues to become problematic with unforeseeable issues of concern. The Millbrae BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) and Caltrain station is not getting 16,500 passengers every weekday as projected during the planning and development process. The Silicon Valley Business Journal reports therein station as the largest transit hub in Western regional areas nationwide, and passengers getting to the airport is much less popular as planned.

The City of Palo Alto is removing RVs lined along El Camino Real across from Stanford University stadium especially when college football season is happening soon. The RV (Recreational Vehicle) owners will be requested to remove their RVs because therein vehicles have been parked there for more than 72 hours. The local residents have noted many RVs parking along El Camino Real and neighborhood residents want those vehicles removed. The El Camino road is a state roadway and prohibits vehicle parking on city street or public for 72 consecutive hours.
