The traffic congestion in San Francisco Bay Area continues to get worse and hopeful improvement projects, on Willow Road and Middlefield Road may ease traffic with safety enhancement. The "Road Diet" as called for development in Palo Alto is happening on Middlefield Road between Lytton Avenue and San Francisquito Creek with road signs for awareness. The city council approved the yearly project to reduce the four lanes roadway to two lanes with limited vehicular turns.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) system in San Francisco Bay Area is having a pilot project to improve security for bicycles at BART stations. The plan is to help double bicyclists to use and access their bicycles at BART stations without problems with securing their bicycles. Including more secure technology types of bike racks at BART stations with expansion to nine local stations, and stairway access for bicyclists to transport their bikes. The new technology bike racks and locks will have alarms with stronger secured mechanism to lock the bike frames and wheel.

The new SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) trolley buses have been approved by San Francisco Board of Supervisors. The purchase of 185 new trolley buses for SFMTA is approved and ready to roll-out therein buses for transit improvement in San Francisco. The new 40 foot buses will replace old buses of more than 17 years and making transit systems better for passengers. The new trolley buses will help improve transit accountability and making up 40% improvement for time to pickup passengers.

The Uber ride-sharing company has been going through many challenges recently including their restructuring internal staffing, and recent reports indicate Uber and Lyft accounts for more daily traffic in San Francisco. The reports from SFTA (San Francisco Transportation Authority) identifies ride-sharing companies account for more than 20% traffic congestion. These daily activities are during every weekday pickup for passengers in The City and/or dropping off passengers, and logging in 570,000 miles combined per weekday for the record.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) transit system transported many passengers during Golden State Warriors Championship celebration in San Francisco Bay Area. The BART administration reports 518,744 ridership trips for passengers and marks it the 5th highest in history for the transit agency. The BART officials also shared their thankful remarks for passengers, employees, and Golden State Warriors 2017 NBA Champions for making it a successful celebration!

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is upgrading North Point Street and The Embarcadero waterfront walkways and biking lanes. The new bicycle traffic signal and green colored lanes are installed for bicyclists safety turns easier when necessary. These upgrades are slowly coming along to ensure pedestrians and bicyclists are safe and consistent with the Vision Zero initiative. The SamTrans and Caltrain transit systems in San Mateo County joined along with VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) to relief traffic congestion. Because today is national "Dump The Pump Day" spearheaded by APTA (American Public Transportation Association) throughout the country, local public transit agencies are joining teams to fight traffic congestion. The VTA transit system serving Santa Clara County works along with SamTrans and Caltrain to celebrate today's 12th Annual Dump The Pump Day in San Francisco Bay Area.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit system has its 12th Annual Dump the Pump Day today to help resolve traffic congestion in the Bay Area. The VTA administration have this annual event to encourage drivers of "dumping the gas pump" and get onboard a VTA transit bus to help fight local traffic congestion. The VTA pledging effort is for people to get out of their cars and ride the transit buses and get rewards. The VTA representatives are available at 6 different transit stations within Santa Clara County giving people gift cards for riding the bus today.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) train system is preparing for Golden State Warriors Championship parade tomorrow in Oakland. The BART officials are expecting bigger ridership for passengers tomorrow because of Warriors NBA (National Basketball Association) Championship parade. The last time Warriors won their NBA Championship in 2015 about 548,076 passengers were onboard BART trains in San Francisco Bay Area. The BART administration is expecting more passengers tomorrow on trains and possibly exceeding therein ridership numbers in 2015.

The SamTrans Transit District services for San Mateo County has been approved by Board of Directors for therein new Fiscal Year from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018. The new operating fiscal budget will be $147 million with a slight increase from last fiscal year based on functional expenditures. The new operating budget will allow SamTrans Transit District to advance its Five Year Strategic Plan along with efficient administrative practice. Including achievement and financial integrity for improvement projects for accountable transit services for San Mateo County.
