SFO AIRLINES CLOSE-CALL FLIGHT ACCIDENT IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA
The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) is investigating a close call flight accident at SFO (San Francisco International Airport) over the weekend. The AC (Air Canada) 759 flight from Toronto flying into landing at SFO and was cleared to land at runway 28R from control tower. The AC759 pilot inadvertently lined up the airplane for taxiway paralleling the runway, and four other airplanes were on therein taxiway waiting for take off. The FAA and AC airlines are investigating the nearly disaster flight accident at SFO, and the sounded emergency alarm may have prevented the accident.
