The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency is looking at possibly changing starting time and offering youth discounts to ride in the Bay Area. The BART administration is proposing to change therein starting time for trains to 5 AM and could happen towards the end of this calendar year. The BART transit agency is estimating an impact for approximately 2400 commuters and more time is needed for services maintenance control. Because if BART trains operate starting at 5 AM and not 4 AM, it would provide extra time to ensure safety for riders during transporting activities.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency is moving forward progressively with Stevens Creek and Winchester Boulevards improvement projects. The VTA is partnering with City of San Jose for therein transit improvement projects including other local municipal agencies in the South Bay. The transit improvement project has been in planning procedural process and making it happen for future solutions in San Francisco Bay Area. This project is one of many transit improvement projects in the South Bay for better routes, service frequency, and upgrading bus stop lines.

The San Carlos Transit Center improvement project is moving forward progressively with a transformation of parking lots at the Caltrain station. The Caltrain administration posted construction updates for therein improvement project from Saturday, August 12 to Friday, August 18, 2017. The construction crew will be working during weekdays and without night and/or weekend working schedules for "San Carlos Multi-Modal Transit Center". The El Camino Real roadway may be reduced to one lane during construction and neighbors may experience loud noises.

The Ford GoBike stations in San Francisco Mission District is vandalized with paint on bicycles and electronic systematic equipment to access bikes for people. The Ford GoBike sharing program is having accessible bicycles in local communities for people to use when needed for transportation. I guess some people don't like to share any bicycles with people in communities, and that's why there is lawful behaviors and unlawful behaviors. The GoBike stations on 15th and Folsom streets as well as 17th and Bryant streets were vandalized with splashing paint.

The $1.6 billion Central Subway in San Francisco has delayed completion and hurting local Chinatown businesses. The new opening is now scheduled for sometime in December 2019 and almost a year later with contractual differences. Some of Chinatown businesses are not securing financial revenues because of therein Central Subway delays with poor developmental planning. The Caltrans administration is not waiting to hire new workers under new gas tax increase state legislation. The new gas increase taxes will take effect in November and expected to raise $52 billion within 10 years, and earmarked $5 billion for state highways and roadway repairs. The Caltrans staffing is having a hiring workshop in San Francisco on August 17, 2017 and another in March 13, 2018 in Berkeley.

The San Francisco Bay ferry services have hit new high percentage of passengers taking therein ferry across the bay. The WETA (Water Emergency Transportation Authority) administration announced records of all-time increase percentage of riders taking ferry services during last month of July. The ridership increase marks 78% since 2012 and continues a trending approach for ferry services within San Francisco Bay Area. The WETA administration established a strategic plan to accommodate the ridership increase with more vessels, terminals, and routes.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) officials announced an arrest of a suspect for two unprovoked attacks on the train during a press conference at 6 AM Pacific Time. The BART Police released to the media images of a suspect on surveillance cameras and therein suspect was arrested hours later in downtown Oakland. The suspect was wanted for two attacks and suspected assaults with a deadly weapon on the BART train during the previous week. The witnesses shared with BART police officers information about the passenger assaults and attacks.
