The Bloomberg reports an unidentified source mentioned 17 former Apple engineers joined Zoox Inc. in Menlo Park, California. The Zoox Inc. self-driving car engineers specializing in how to design traditional and autonomous vehicles regrading braking and suspension systematic elements. The engineers were reportedly sidelined when Apple Inc. started to downsize their autonomous vehicle development project. The Apple iconic iPhone system has made its mark in the market and self-driving vehicles along with autonomous operating systems can be challenging. The Zoox Inc.

The increasing car break-ins within San Francisco citywide and auto burglaries increase 28% is getting SFPD (San Francisco Police Department) officers attention. The SFPD issued a report this week identifying 17,970 car break-ins and 13,995 at this time during last year. The North Beach and Mission District area is capturing more attention because of higher car break-in crimes within neighborhoods. The San Francisco Board of Supervisors member Norman Yee, District-7, introduced "Safe Neighborhoods Ordinance" and unfortunately Mayor Ed Lee vetoed it.

The transit services within San Francisco Bay Area during upcoming Labor Day holiday will operate using the Sunday schedule. The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency and BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) will be working on infrastructure railways during the holiday weekend. The VTA repairing team will work on the light railway tracks in San Jose, and replace the aging infrastructure railing systems. The railway track repairs will create some interruption with light railway services, and transit buses will be available for passengers as bridging services.

The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) officers are investigating a suspicious package near Union Square, and impacting transit services in San Francisco this afternoon on Wednesday. The SFPD officers issued a tweet message for BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) and muni regarding police activities on Market and Fourth streets. The SFPD officers crew investigated the scenery area at Powell Street BART station, and shutting down San Francisco Market Street between 4th and 5th streets.

The City of Palo Alto council members are uncertain about supporting a sales tax for Caltrain with state legislation. The Palo Alto Council is putting off their voting support for Caltrain state legislation bill, because of not having a voice on the Caltrain board with a representative. The council members will revisit therein sales tax matter for Caltrain and have a decision before SB797 (Senate Bill 797) state legislation deadline. The Palo Alto Council feels a lack of representation on Caltrain's board and VTA (Valley Transportation Authority).

The SFO (San Francisco International Airport) international terminal was evacuated earlier this morning on Wednesday. The SFO officials shutdown part of therein terminal for clearance because of a suspicious passenger box at Cathay Pacific Airways ticket area. The international terminal was partially evacuated without any damages along with injuries regarding therein matter. The SFO airport investigation team investigated the box and cleared as necessary for transporting without any problems.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) employees and board members, including retirees can ride BART for free as part of the perks package. Some people are sharing concerns about how BART is spending tax payers money especially when BART is going through many financial challenges. Because BART employees and their families can ride the trains for free and other passengers are paying to ride the trains. In other words, regular passengers are not only paying their fees to ride BART trains, but as well as BART employees and families through tax increases for people.

The Southwest Airlines announced new non-stop flights at SJC (Mineta San Jose International Airport) and increasing some domestic national flights. The Southwest flight service expansion includes 82 daily flights within 22 nonstop destinations starting early March 2018. Including 23 nonstop flights from SMF (Sacramento International Airport) to Austin, Orlando, St. Louis, New Orleans, and Cabo San Lucas. The economic experts are pointing at a steady economy in Santa Clara County as a factor in Southwest Airlines expansion endeavor.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency is delaying to release Measure-B funding for transit improvement projects in the South Bay. The voters in Santa Clara County approved Measure-B funding for transit projects in 2016 and VTA can't release therein funding because of the unsettled lawsuit. The Santa Clara County residential citizens supported the Measure-B to have funding to fix local road repairs, Caltrain, and BART extension project.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency is cracking down on passengers avoiding to pay their fees to ride BART trains within San Francisco Bay Area. The BART police officers issued 36 citations during Tuesday to fee evading violators and trying to cheat their way of not paying to ride the train. The BART reporting staff identified citations issued at San Francisco, Richmond, and Fremont locations between 5 PM and 9 PM. It's an effort to prevent violating passengers from getting a free ride and/or creating unsafe environment for credible fee paying passengers.
