The ridership for passengers on BART in San Francisco Bay Area is higher and looking to expand services for working class people. San Francisco Bay Area BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) is expanding services to help provide some relief on traffic congestion within bay area roadways. Including flexible services to Contra Costa County during commuting hours because crossover train lines have been recently completed. The BART improvement plan includes lengthening commuter trains in the morning and evenings, and maintaining commuting trains for additional 15 minutes on weekday mornings.

The San Francisco Bay Area BART has received $750,000 federal workforce development grant for accessible employment pathways partnership. Funding will provide the TCLT (Transit Career Ladders Training) Program to help employment development aligned with Workforce Investment Boards and partnership agencies. This fund is generated to help disadvantaged communities to assist with transit transportation employment development. The TCLT Program will promote transit related careers and fostering a culture of innovation for veterans and low-income communities.

Upgrading public transportation systems in San Francisco Bay Area is costing more money considering traffic congestion issues. CTS (Cubic Transportation Systems) is a business corporation system assisting San Francisco Bay Area BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) with the revenue management system. Allocated $12.6 million funding for CTS will be utilized to upgrade several management systems within BART, and making it convenient and efficient for passengers. Reports identify the new Cubic management system will save passengers and tax payers money by an upgrading system.

The Google Shuttle buses transporting workers in San Francisco is becoming a permanent project as determined by city officials. San Francisco MTA (Municipal Transportation Agency) initiated the project as a pilot until further determination and pending the impact on local communities. Local city advocates opposing the project filed a lawsuit against the city and SFMTA for not complying with CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act).

The City of Sunnyvale and Santa Clara County are joining to seek answers to ongoing traffic problems in southern part of San Francisco Bay Area. The joint partnership had public meetings to hear from people about ways and means of support regarding traffic control. The Silicon Valley booming developments for working people is making traffic along Highway 101, Highway 237 crossing over Mathilda Avenue in Sunnyvale is tougher than before.

The San Francisco Bay Area BART transportation has reopened transbay services after closure over Labor Day holiday on time for passengers. After testing transbay tube railway tracks by BART repair crew members, they reopened BART transbay services without any major problems. Some passengers didn't feel as much of a difference and some passengers didn't care as long as they commute on a timely manner. Some passengers onboard was a crew from ABC7 News to talk directly with passengers and secure feedback regarding repair closure.

California Governor Jerry Brown is proposing to spend $3.6 billion annually for roadway repairs in San Francisco Bay Area and throughout the state. The governor's administration is transparently sharing the proposal information with state legislators for assistance to improve the crumbling transportation system. The proposal plan is to have regular updates on highway improvement projects, streamlining environmental reviews within the infrastructure, and extending public-private partnerships for construction repairs.

San Francisco Bay Area BART transportation is closing down transbay services over Labor Day weekend for safety repairs. BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) will provide alternative free bus transit services from 19th Street service station in Oakland to a temporary Transbay Terminal (2 blocks from Embarcadero Station) in downtown San Francisco. BART transbay tube will be closed for 3 days and reopen on Tuesday morning during regular commuting hours for passengers.

The Muni transportation system in San Francisco is planning to make changes for some transit routes to improve frequency services for passengers. SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) announced last Friday the changes are part of Muni Forward Program, making Muni transportation services workable for passengers in San Francisco. Including service upgrades to boost transit bus line services along identified routes and SFMTA Board of Directors will decide on possible changes on Tuesday, September 1, 2015.

Presidio parkway extends roadway works on Highway 101 near Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and lane closures will be in place accordingly. Traffic congestion will happen along roadways because construction crews have to breakdown temporary barriers and installing permanent replacements. Including full closure of the hook ramp connectors to Highway 1 for more construction and electrical work. Lane closures will happen on Monday, August 31 to September 3, 2015 from 10 PM to 4:30 AM for night work along northbound and southbound Highway 101.
