It reports 15% decline during 1991 to 2014 based on MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) reporting data. MTC and other regional transit agencies are encouraging people to ride public transit buses with many other amenities. The latest transportation annual report released indicates worst roads for traveling within San Francisco Bay Area. The MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) released it's annual report covering 9 San Francisco Bay Area counties regarding road pavement conditions. The ranking categories are based on Pavement Condition Index (PCI) for road conditions within 9 counties. The 3 major cities within San Francisco Bay Area ranks "fair" roads category for San Francisco (67) and San Jose (62), and Oakland (57) ranks "at-risk" category.

The ongoing battle for Uber and Lyft drivers within San Francisco Bay Area continues including business license fees. Many Uber and Lyft drivers have been issued penalty fees, etc. for business elements involved within processing business license fees in San Francisco. Some drivers are unhappy with steep amounts of assessed fees involved, because some fees total equates between $700 - $780 per driver. Drivers registered with San Francisco Treasurer and Tax Collector's Office are assessed business penalties, interest, as well as administrative fees for being late with business payments.

Airplanes flying over local communities within San Francisco Bay Area is becoming more problematic for local residents. The AC Transit Board of Directors have been looking at ways to improve the transportation system for passengers, and would like to hear directly from passengers riding the bus for feedback. That's exactly why the Board of Directors are moving into local communities during the Summer 2016 to hear directly from commuting passengers. The Board of Directors will have public meetings within local communities to hear direct feedback information from people.

The effort to make transportation in San Francisco Bay Area more easier for working class people will come with some challenging lessons. The MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) has overseen ways and means of support for local transit agencies. Including the use of transit clipper cards for passengers to make it easier for them while commuting for work or other activities. One local commuter was traveling on BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) and lost his wallet on the platform, and he cancelled his clipper card immediately for protection from thieves.

The City of Vallejo municipal leaders have a potential agreement for a manufacturing location for electric cars in San Francisco Bay Area. This potential agreement can save the city and provide more sustainable financial revenues for local residents of Vallejo. The City of Vallejo filed for bankruptcy under Chapter-9 for protection in 2008, because of local municipal debt in millions of dollars. The car manufacturing agreement is with Faraday Future startup electric car company, and it will provide many jobs for Vallejo and local city income.

The public transportation system in San Francisco is going through many changes for improvement, including elimination of muni bus stops on Van Ness Avenue. The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is planning to discontinue 9 bus stops along Van Ness for the Bus Rapid Transit system. These bus stop changes will take affect during the beginning of next month in June, and new system will be accessible for muni buses, railway-trains, and Golden Gate transit buses.

The national and international business travelers on airlines will soon be traveling without first class seating arrangement. The rebounding economy is helping airlines reconfigure seating arrangements for traveling passengers in the air by phasing out first class seating levels. Cathay Pacific Airlines have decided to stop putting first class cabins into its new Airbus A350. It's planning to reconfigure them into business class levels, premium and economy class seating for traveling passengers.

The Muni Buses Transit system in San Francisco has been going through many challenges, and passengers raising concerns with bus operators. Some passengers are saying, "Muni bus drivers/operators appear to take too long breaks and some are taking too many breaks during their driving assignments." A report was released indicating SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is monitoring bus driver's break time. Some bus drivers are abusing the system and leaving passengers on transit buses while obtaining items from local stores.
