The Mission Street "red carpet" lanes controversy appears to raise questions for Supervisor David Campos. He wants to have a community meeting and would like to hear directly from local residents and muni riders.

Part of an effort to ease traffic congestion on highways and roadways in the Bay Area is encouraging people to use public transportation. BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) has been used by many people within San Francisco Bay Area, and recently received new train cars for passengers. BART administration is also facing approximately $477 million budget deficit within the next 10 years because revenues are slowly decreasing.

Safety and health issues within transit systems in San Francisco Bay Area has been on top of the list for attention. Caltrain transportation system has been trying to have their safety issues of concern resolved, and didn't reach their installation goals as planned in 2015. Caltrain was planning to install a safety system called PTC (Positive Train Control) for transporting trains to make it safer for passengers. The PTC safety system will operate automatically if the train engineering operator goes over the speed limit, and sends a signal to slow the train from any dangerous situation.

Some people in San Francisco Bay Area continues to drive their personal cars, regardless of commuting traffic congestion on freeways and roadways within the Bay Area. People who are driving Honda personal cars received letters from local Honda Auto dealers because of the recall in February for Honda cars with defective airbags. The Honda airbags are manufactured by Takata and affecting approximately 34 million people nationwide including San Francisco Bay Area.

As traffic congestion continues to become a problem in San Francisco, vehicle parking is also a continual problem and nearly $5 million for unclaimed parking citation reimbursement is revealed. Because about 12,000 people filed claims with the city for refunds within $1 million for parking citation reimbursements, and nearly $5 million are unclaimed for reimbursements. The parking reimbursement funding amount will be redirected to San Francisco's general fund, and allocations are subject to the direction of Mayor's Office.

Earlier this morning on Wednesday a shuttling bus transporting Apple employees was on fire on Highway 280 going southbound. The bus was leaving San Francisco and going southbound towards Apple campus in Cupertino, California, and CHP (California Highway Patrol) reports a vehicle on fire on the highway close to Sand Hill Road. The vehicular fire was reported around 6:45 AM about a rear left side of the bus being on fire, and no injuries were reported about the incident.

The two airlines transaction purchasing deal is worth approximately $4 billion including debt and operational leasing costs. The deal is expected to add more earnings per share in one year and boosting revenues 27%, and approximately $300 -$350 million integration costing amounts. Alaska Airlines will expand it's networking departing flights to 1200 per day, and serves 90 airline carrier destinations in America, Canada, and Mexico.

A man trespassing train tracks yesterday on Sunday night in Hayward, California was killed by the Amtrak train going to Sacramento around 10 PM. The passengers boarded another Amtrak train as officials investigate the incident, and the man was killed when officers arrived on the scene. Alameda County coroners office didn't release trespassing man's identity and train skirting system hit the man along the tracks. The train was carrying 19 passengers onboard and had to get on another train while officials investigate the incident situation.

The new Tesla Model 3 car was unveiled yesterday as planned and people have to stand in line for reservations to purchase and own it. Some people wants to deposit $1000 to be on the automakers's list to purchase the car, and Model 3 cars are planned to be assembled in Fremont, California later in 2017. The new Model 3 car is slated to become an economical electric vehicle, and starting price of $35,000 to purchase it. The costing amounts of Tesla current vehicle models are $71,000 - $80,000 and aiming to build more lower-price electrical cars.

Transportation traffic in San Francisco Bay Area is getting worse and looking for ways to help people, and shuttling passengers can be the answer. The shuttling vehicles have to go through a procedural process before transporting passengers, and Bauer's Transportation company permits have been revoked because of challenging issues. The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) has revoked Bauer's permit and will no longer authorized to use muni bus stops in San Francisco.
