The police investigated a suspicious package found at 19th Street BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station in Oakland during commuting hours this morning on Tuesday. The BART station was closed temporarily until it was clear to operate because of the suspicious package investigation. Transit shuttle buses were provided for passengers during BART closing time and dogs were provided by police to determine the package for assurance. Passengers were informed to enter from a different location to enter shuttle buses for alternative transportation.

A recent report indicates 23% drop for commuters on buses and/or light-railway for working class people in southern San Francisco Bay Area.
